    Re: February BeanBay

It all worked perfectly for me. The hardest part was having to explain to the wife why I needed another 7.5 kg of beans after she bought me 2 kg of Ethiopian Harrar on Monday.....

      Thanks Andy ...
Was a bit of a shock to see the email with only an hours notice!!!

Missed out on the Costa Rican ...
But did get some of the Sumatran Mandheling which I have been hanging out for, and got some of the Ethiopian Yirgocheffe (??) to try.

Funds have been transferred to your account.
      Woohoo!

        Re: February BeanBay

I only want a small amount...2.5kg is slightly too much for me

If someone is willing to go halves in the Ethiopian Yirg, as I would love to try some of this, I would be happy to pay the $10 or $15 that it works out to.

I am going on Saturday to the advanced coffee pour at Veneziano Cafe, I can meet someone there if they would like.

Green beans if stored in a cool dry place in the bags in which they are shipped will last 3 years!

So plenty of time to perfect your roasting skills

                  Luca,

That would be great! 2mcm has 500 grams of it for me, so whatever you want to let me buy from you would be excellent.

                  Thanks heaps

                    Re: February BeanBay

This was my first Bean Bay and it went very smoothly.

I logged in about 1/2 hour after it started and there was more than enough left to choose from.

I was still trying to figure out delivery when my daughter asked for a lift to a friends place as they were going out.

When I got back just after 11:00pm the beans Id decided on were still there.

I noticed I could choose to pick up from Di Bartoli and I was planning to visit Renzo and Ofra soon anyway.
But then I noticed the date/time. I have a lunch invite that day up Gosford way so I opted for the satchel this time.

I chose a minimum of the Yirg and Sumatran.

My PayPal account was in credit so payment was made in a flash.

Im looking forward to trying these two beans that I havent before.

All in all, no computer lag. Transaction was smooooooth as.

                      Re: February BeanBay

TG, the day of pickup isnt firm. You can pickup from Di Bartoli anytime after the specified date/time. I go the Monday after, since it is my day off.

Save yourself some cash, and go pick them up. Theyre happy to hold onto them until its most convenient for you. Some peoples bags were still there when I picked mine up last time.
