    Re: February BeanBay

Have most NSW snobs received their beans?

It seems lots of people have already received their shipment but were still waiting...

Weve had a few problems with our post office lately, they cant be bothered leaving those little cards when were out, and then abuse us when we go to collect our goods...

Yes, you should have your beans
Sure sounds like a grumpy post office! I have sent you an email, we should find em.

As for the pickup points, beans left here at the end of last week and will be arriving around the country via courier shortly.

      Enjoy!

I would be keen to hear from fellow Canberra and ACT roasters....

How many of us are there??

And where is Richardson (myself being far too lazy to look at a map)?
Somewhat North of Cooma and South of the rapidly lowering Lake Burply Griffin, East of Lake Tuggeranong, West of Jerrabomberra - easier to look on a map really ;D

            Re: February BeanBay

North of Melbourne, South of Brisbane?

Sydney and Brisbane beans at at their destinations. Canberra beans are in Canberra tonight and should get to Neil Friday (just in time!). Perth are still between here and Perth (somewhere) and should arrive early next week with plenty of time to spare for the pickup. Freight was slow because of the Australia Day holiday on the Friday and I expect that although the beans all freighted on the Thursday that they didnt do much moving until Monday morning.

The only volume of beans left here are the Melbounre pickup beans and they will go for an hour car ride to Veneziano on Saturday morning.

Phew, it all looks like it fell into place again this month. Can get a tad edgy sometimes but always ends with happy CSrs and great coffee!

            Andy.

The February BeanBay is going to kick-off at 10pm tonight (18th Jan)
We have multiple delivery points to help save freight costs to members including a fully-sponsored one in QLD thanks to Presso Australia and a new one in ACT thanks to "Cruiserman":

WA - Epic 5-1297 Hay Street, West Perth ($1 per kilo)
              Andy,
If I order a Starter Pack with the next BeanBay auction and get them delivered with the next (March BeanBay order) to Epic in WA would the cost still be $10 delivery or will it be as quoted above $1 per kilo. being 2.5kg $2.50 for the postage?

                Re: February BeanBay

                Goodies,
I ordered my 10kg of beanbay beans plus the 2.5kg starter pack, and freight cost was $13 for pickup from Epic.
So in short, yes it would be $1/kg freight on the starter pack if purchased with the beanbay pickup from Epic order.

                Regards,
                Stoveboy
(eagerly awaiting some real green beans! currently with 275g to of local unknown variety chaffless split greens "to burn" testing the new popper)

                  Re: February BeanBay

                  Gold star to Stoveboy.

The bulk freight is $1 per kilo (or part thereof) so $3 freight and not the $10 for an express post pack.

Perth freight rose this month (we just got the bill ), so its looking that the bulk freight to WA will be $1.50/kg next month which will still be the cheapest method of freight into WA, just not quite as good as the last couple of BeanBays.

Other states freight prices remain the same. Its just the long haul across country that copped the hike.

                    Re: February BeanBay

Thanks for the heads up Stoveboy and Andy. I look forward to the next Beanbay to Order my Starter Pack. I dont think I will be ordering 10kg though as I am the only coffee drinking in the household, unless I decide to go for the Guinness world record of days staying awake I might think I will order lesser amounts.

                    cheers
