    Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Release

    SUNDAY 10th Feb 2013
    20:00 AEDT

    8:00pm ACT, NSW, VIC, TAS
    7:00pm QLD
    7:30pm SA
    6:30pm NT
    5:00pm WA
(I'm pretty sure thats the correct daylight savings times)

The new release beans that will appear in BeanBay are:

El Salvador Aida Batlle SHG - $11.00/kg*
El Salvador Aida Batlle SHG is well processed, washed and graded. Roasted to a CS9 it's bright and crisp like a Central bean should be, take it a little deeper into the roast curve and the sweetness comes forward. Excellent coffee with a stunning fruity aroma even as a green bean.

Ethiopia Oromia Coop Limu - $12.00/kg*
Ethiopia Oromia Coop Limu is one of the few regional fully washed Ethiopian coffess. This is the Coop that was featured in the movie Black Gold and made so memrorable by their passionate and verbal manager, Tadesse Meskela. Easy to roast, good body and mid acidity makes this a great single origin with a creamy mouthfeel full of bittersweet cocoa tones.

    Java Banyuwangi - $12.00/kg
Java Banyuwangi is a fully washed high altitude bean. Processing is good with very few splits or brokens but like most Indo coffees it's not screened to specific size so you will get a mix of bean sizes that will result in a slightly mottled roast. Forget about the looks, in the cup its all about body with low acidity and a savory, woody nutty style.

    * price per kilo packed in 2.5kg CoffeeSnobs cotton bags and includes the FairCrack $0.50/kg donation.

You can select direct shipping via Australia Post (express or road) and Star Track Express (air or road) along with some other options depending on where you live or you can collect your paid order from Morgan Street (when I'm there, late afternoons preferred).

    Pickup Points (one per state)
(only an available option for a couple of days either side of the sale date).

    QLD - "Simon T" - Brissy
    NSW - Erkochurch - Erskinville
    TAS - "ParaM" – Hobart
SA - Fiefys Specialty Cafe - Adelaide
    WA - "Greeman" - Warwick
VIC - Veneziano- Abbotsford (Sat 16th Feb 10:30-11:30 only)

We hope to get beans to all the pickup points before: 22/02/2013

This delivery date is a best guess as we are often at the whim of couriers around the country. Generally when the beans arrive at the pickup point someone will post in this thread to let you know the time/date that you should meet for the pickup.

Please don't annoy the pickup points by asking for your beans before they let you know in this thread they are available for collection.

    Enjoy!

          Yes it is 55.

Roger Fitz lives in the house adjacent to the church. He should be able to brew up a god shot.

              Hey Poddy et al,

Beans (and gear) have arrived at erko & are ready for your pickup.

Usual process: send me a text to let me know what suits & we'll roll from there.

First timers, our place is on the corner of erskineville road and rochford st: park in the ugly carpark and walk through the gate in the fence to the left-hand door of our place.

              cheers

We are appreciated you are coming during the specific time due to the cafe high traffic during the other times of the day.

                See you guys soon
