Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Release - SUNDAY 7th APRIL 2013 - 8pm AEDT
We must all have quite a few bean bags collected to date, what do you guys do with them?
You could send them back for re-using... or if you live in Melbs I have a friend there that up-cylces them into cool things and will happily take them off your hands
Had a great WA pickup with plenty of coffee and conversation. Mocoffee shared Saudi coffee culture and how it is woven into their social fabric, he had us all fascinated as he described the hand roasting of the beans, then grinding and preparing the beverage and the addition of spices--thank you Mohammed!!
WA Beanbay pickup will be on
Saturday 20th May from 2 to 4pm
lotsa beans arriving this month!!
I'll have some tantalising 2013 COE samples to run through syphon/pourover, bring along any interesting roasts or new coffee paraphernalia to show the crew!!
looking forward to seeing you on Saturday
cheers
Trevor

I'm heading off on two weeks' holiday, so will leave the beans on my front porch (under cover) for you to take your own.
If you're a first-timer, park in the carpark on the corner of Erskineville Rd and Rochford st. The gate of 55 Erskineville Rd is in the carpark. Come around to the left hand door, and beans are on the porch. Help yourself & tick off your name on the list.
It varies. See this thread: http://coffeesnobs.com.au/beanbay-ba...ean-sales.html
Andy aims to do one a month (but not usually January), so there will most likely be one in May. There is usually about 5 days notice and shipping points are open for a couple of days after.
However, if you are OK with paying freight costs, you can buy them anytime.
Money change. ( They do look like those bags that security guards carry around. Have had a neighbour look closely at the pair of money bag looking set of green beans I was carrying around the garage. Maybe he thought I,ve been to the bank?!?
Dog toys.
Christmas stockings
Drying chillies.
Yep, you have missed it, if we don't ship it out soon after the release then it won't get to the interstate destinations on time.
The close date is a moving target and will depend on roast days, public holidays etc. We release all the beans on the date in the email sent to 24,000 members and close it roughly 2 days later.
Victoria is still there as I will drive that to Coffee-A-Roma on the day.
See:
The pickup point shipping options are available from when I send the monthly email until a day or two after the mid-month green bean release. We then collate, pack and bulk ship the beans to the pickup points and when they are ready for collection someone will post in the "monthly green bean release" thread. BeanBay Banter
