Melbourne deliveries are often fast (only 80km from here), other states will see the Expresso Post (errr... express post) packs tomorrow.

Half of the BeanBay beans shipped first thing this morning (PayPal and the speediest bank transfers), payment is still pending on nearly half but as the bank comes good we get the beans out ASAP.

The CS pickup spot coffees will ship Wednesday and arrive within a week of shipping to most of the interstate locations... with plenty of time before the meeting days.

Ill drive the Melbourne pickup coffee up the highway to Veneziano on Saturday morning.

    Enjoy your roasting CSrs.

This may already have been suggested previously (too lazy to read all the posts on this string)...

But for the "most popular" beans (e.g. based on previous demand etc.) you could limit the quantity purchased to a minimum value for a period of time? e.g. everyone can have a crack at 2.5 kg of the Yirg, or Red Sea or similar.

Then after 24 hours open it up to as much as people want to buy to clean up the remaining beans.

This wouldnt alleviate any of the server problems, but might let people have a crack at getting what they want...clearly I must have some communist blood in me somewhere :-)

You could do this, but you cant really stop people having a second username (or third ... etc) that they can use to buy multiple lots.  Or a husband AND wife could buy one lot each as well.

I like that idea shamus, mainly because i missed out on the tiger and yirg, due to being on the phone at work.

My 4th and 5th choices arrived yesterday though, so not all bad

bloody ell - premium stuff all gone within an hour
well that depends on what you determine premium to be.  The four "best" coffees in this months bean bay (according to my personal taste) all still have beans available including two that are the most interesting beans that I have cupped in a long time.

The good thing about BeanBay is they are all GREAT coffees else they wouldnt be here.  Just because you might have missed the "most popular" during the initial flurry rarely means you missed the best.

I lost my tiger mountain due to a meeting, which caused my basket to empty. Nevertheless I only bagged that one based on its overwhelming popularity. The ones I was really after were all still available long after the dust had settled.

So now that it is all done and dusted, Id be interested in knowing what Andys top four beans were and a bit more about those two most interesting. Especially since I most probably have one of those two coming my way....

                    Cmon Andy, spill the beans...

I got some Malawi, Rwandan and Red sea blend, the latter mainly because of the Yemeni Moka content.

                              Hi All,

I think youll find the Rwandan coffee to be a real beauty (from research on the web), so too with the Zambian and the Malawi is simply superb (got some a couple of seasons ago). When it comes right down to it though, theyre all extremely good beans 8-)

                              Mal.
