Nice use of the thread sandgropers.... this was exactly the intended purpose of them.
Dynamic toggling of the bean pickup dates/times/venues to suit the majority of locals as opposed to a random time selected as a "best guess" by me.
Have fun at your pickup day. BTW: The WA shipment left this morning (errrr... that was Wed morning) so it should get across the country in plenty of time.

Ripper Andy - thanks for the update. Sandgropers always seem to have an independant bent. Of course, this wasnt supposed to carry through quite so much into local politics where Brian Burke seems to want to establish a government in exile. . .

Cool, if that is the case then with my 10kg and hopefully another 10kg (Donated from a roaster) then Ill have 50kg to roast - What a relief I have access to a 30kg roaster for this lot!Comment

The news from Perth is excellent with the beans having arrived courtesy of the sweaty russian courier who complains bitterly once a month about the terrible terrible load he has to carry.
I have photos of the beans on the floor at Epic - including my two sacks of Zambian for the fundraiser (thank you all again!).
What was really cool was that on the weekend I got to have a conversation with Dean of Five Senses and Kamran of Fiori about the best way to roast and blend these beans - awesome to get that kind of info from two master roasters. . .Comment

Sorry guys, I couldnt wait, I picked up my Starter Pack today, "I RAN OUT OF COFFEE!!!!!" I will still come on the 16th though to have a couple with the other CSs.
When I got home and looking through my starter pack I got a knock at the door. I opened the door and the coffee beans god must have toyed with my anguish long enough and delivered my Prize "5 KG OF ROASTED COFFEE BEANS"
At the start of the day I had only what was left in my Bean Hopper (Which equated to about 2 or 3 coffees) I could have only lasted the day out. Tomorrow would have been grim. But now this afternoon I am the proud owner of 7.5kg of beans.
5kg roasted and 2.5kg green beans. I think I might have to store the bean for the moment as 5kg. Is a lot of coffees.
Feeling like I just won the Bean Lotto, I was feeling generous and took over a 1kg pack to my father who is also a coffee drinker, (Although I dont like his coffees as much, (Fully automatic Saeco Royal Cappuccino machine) Takes the fun out of making a coffee.
And that was my day today.

Sorry all, but Ive got to pick mine up early as well.
No, I havent run out of beans...... I didnt realise the collection time clashed with my sons Electric car racing State Championship..... on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend.... and Im doing scrutineering... so have to be there.....
Corey, my wife and I will drop in one morning for a couple of coffees and to collect my cache....Comment
