BeanBay Green Bean Release - Feb 2014
(these were going to be January beans but due to freight problems they slid into Feb!)
Ethiopia Sidamo

Ethiopia Sidamo is from Sidama, SNNPR (Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region). This area is one of the few in Ethiopia that produce dry and wet process coffees close together, typically each region has a bias one way or the other.
This particular one was washed, cleaned and then well processed. I know a lot of people like to lightly roast Sidamo coffees, that's fine if that floats your boat but for me I find it really stands-up in the darker roasts where the deep cocoa and sweetness leaps out, with a smooth mouth feel and nice mid body espresso shot this is great as a single origin bean or as a blend component.
Costa Rica Villa Sarchi

Costa Rica Villa Sarchi is a really well graded Central American bean. Large and even bean size, its easy to roast and results in a clean, crisp espresso shot at around the CS8 roast depth, take it a little darker to balance out the brightness with a stone fruit sweetness. This is a great value Central.
If humanly possible, your order will always ship the same day we receive payment from your bank.
Remember you can always track the order status under the "My Previous Orders" tab above.
Costa Rica Geisha SHB

Costa Rica Geisha SHB is from the Tarrazu growing region, famed for its high altitude, suitable weather and great rainfall for producing the countries highest quality coffees. This is a 100% Geisha varietal, one of the "old growth" heirloom coffees originally from Ethiopia. Slightly ugly in that the bean sizing includes a range of sizes and the sun drying Meil process has left some patches of chaff. Roasting is easy and the results are more even than first expected. Off the grinder you are hit with huge room filling florals and some of those transfer to the cup too. Great buttery body and excellent balance make this a joy to drink.
Wildly expensive and very limited so we have packed it in 1kg lots to give more people a chance to play with it.
Enjoy!
