That one certainly is an oldie... In fact, one of the ones that I had hand sewn myself!

Fatboy sent back an even older one last year, it was red print but a similar vintage. The initial bags were red, when we ran out of red ink we topped the stamp-pad with blue which made purple.... so there are more purple in circulation than red.

I have a framed collection on the Snobbery wall which makes an interesting (at least to me) timeline of the evolution of CS cotton bags over years.

    Hi Andy,

Firstly thank you for me coffee education which outside a well know barista book this forum has expanded my coffee horizons exponentially.

I have three questions from a total green bean novice perspective as the Tanzania batch sounds so fantastic I want to get some without even owning a roaster...yet.

    1. If I were to buy some of these beans in anticipation of getting a roaster in the near future how long could I realistically store them before it was too late to roast them?
    2. What is the best way to store green beans for longevity?
    3. How are pulped beans different to others?

Thank you if you get a change to respond and sorry for asking such basic questions.

    Dear 'ol fashioned ;-)
Zippers rock! The bags sit/pack flatter when full and it's a heap faster when I fill 'em, not to mention the lack of spiked thumbs from the tie wire! Both bags do a good job but I prefer the zips.

Thanks for all the helpful replies above fellas....

Delivery in person Mon-Thu afternoons at Morgan St else you can post, courier, carrier pigeon (have a few on the roof already) whatever works best for you and is cheapest.

Call me old fashion or nostalgic, but personally I prefer the non-zippered bags as they were a bit easier to pour out the beans from but I won't violently object if I get zippered ones...

I've mailed bags to that address before and Andy received them.

Does this include the older style bags without the zipper as well?
I reckon if Andy only wanted the zippered bags he would have said so.

Can't say about the bags, except I presume so....... I have received a couple of twist tie bags recently.
    Remove the stickers first.

It's best to ring Andy before making the trip to Morgan St., unless you're just around the corner. ;-)

Also, do I need to make an appointment to drop the bags off at the snobbery?
