BeanBay Green Bean Release - August 2014
Honduras Montana de Comayagua

Honduras Montana de Comayagua. This fully washed high grown Honduran coffee is a ripper. Most Central American coffees can be a little thin but this one has a surprisingly good body. In the lighter roasts (CS8) the zesty citrus peel acidity shines through, taken a little darker (CS9) it becomes crisp, green apple like acidity. Really interesting coffee that works in a wide range of roast depths and should work in a wide range of brewing styles too.
Tanzania KVCG

Tanzania Kilimanjaro Volcanic Coffee Growers (KVCG)
This has been size graded to include flat beans and peaberry, the result is a blend that is easy to roast and produces great results. All of the beans have come from the FairCrack village projects on Mount Kilimanjaro and include beans from Kyaurinde, Shinga, Kirishi, Masha, Ngumeni, Okaseni, Rononi, Njari Wami and Orera.
Amazing coffee from one of the purest and most natural coffee growing areas on the planet.
Timor Leste Ramelau

Timor Leste Ramelau is a certified organic, fair trade bean from one of our closest neighbours.
We have had very few Timor offerings in the last 10 years, often the difficult logistics of Timor Leste mean that beans are spoilt before they leave the country. This one is a good one though. Mixed sizes but mostly large beans well washed and dried. In the cup it produces a milder, low acidity coffee with a mid body and well balanced.
Cuba Escambray

Cuba Escambray - often referred to as Crystal Mountain this well graded, washed and sun dried coffee is about as good a cup as you will get from Cuba. Malt, dry spice and a drying mouthfeel in the cup. Interesting espresso, excellent long black and would lend itself to other brew methods like filter, plunger and drip too.
These and plenty of other great beans are available in BeanBay now.
Enjoy!
