BeanBay Green Bean Release - December 2015

    Available in BeanBay now:

    Aceh Gunung Bandahara

Aceh Gunung Bandahara Triple Pick - certified organic at origin, this is a stunning northern Indonesian coffee with some of the best processing you could hope for.
Triple pick process means that the beans are sorted 3 times by hand to remove nearly all the defects and while it looks prettier and costs a little more it also means there are far fewer flavour changes from cup to cup. It has a rich, bold and warm flavour profile, sultana and fruitcake spices that lead into a heavy bodied cocoa finish. Beautiful coffee.

    Ethiopia Geyusu Select

Ethiopia Geyusu is a dry processed coffee but very well sorted. In following with our other triple sort process this coffee is the premium grade from the region with colour and debris removal. It costs more than most Harrar coffees but I think the added sorting effort was worth paying for.
In the cup you find a light body full of red berry fruits and a brighter, cleaner finish. Excellent to "fruit-up" a blend or enjoy as a single origin.

Of course there are plenty of other great coffees in BeanBay too, so you are sure to find something you love!

    ...the fine print...
(with the exception of the 1kg Maui) All BeanBay green beans are packed in 2.5kg zippered cotton bags, perfect for storage for up to 3 years when kept in a cool, dark and dry position. We ship paid orders out from the Snobbery Monday to Thursday and BeanBay will show the available shipping options to your area. Larger orders are typically cheaper to freight per kilogram so we suggest ordering all your requirements at once. We also strongly recommend that you ship to an attended address (eg: work or grandma's house) to avoid delivery delays.

          Hi Andy,

Thank you for getting my order to me fast. I really appreciate being able to get into some new beans, this side of Christmas.

I was going to PM you, but you have it turned off, and I can't see a link to add a new thread in here.

My order #164566 has a bit of an issue.

The order was for 2.5kg of Indian Elephant Hills Monsoon, and 2.5kg of Ethiopian Gambella Sundried. However, only 2kg of the Indian Elephant Hills was delivered. The label also states 2kg on it, and the scales tell the same story. The Ethiopian was fine.

Sticking my head in the bags, the green beans look sensational!

Is there a contact number or something that you can PM to me, so we can put this post in the knock box?

Damn, I wish I had seen this thread before ordering. The Aceh beans sound excellent.

            Hi Shano,
If you have a look again at the description on the beans it explains it.

CoffeeSnobs - BeanBay - Green Coffee - India Elephant Hills Monsoon

India Elephant Hills Monsoon AA grade large screen size monsooned coffee. The coffee is left to dry on racks slowly through the wet and windy monsoon season and this unique process yields a light weight, large size bean. Easy to roast it produces a crema monster in the cup with heavy bodied gelatinous crema and spicy, earthy flavours. Often enjoyed as a low acidity single origin or added to a blend to improve the crema.

NOTE: Due to the physical size and low density of the beans this is packed in 2kg lots.

Hi UCC, thanks for pointing that out. I admit that I didn't see the note.

Having read so much good about it in the early days after joining the forum, it was one that I had earmarked as a definite purchase.

Well, this off-topic sub-thread can be dumped, at the admin's discretion.

              Sorry for the bother.
