BeanBay Green Bean Release - September 2016
Available in BeanBay now:
Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu Vara Blanca

Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu Vara Blanca obtained one of the highest cupping scores of the whole Tarrazu region.
Graded SHB this uniform sized bean grown on the Eastern slopes above the township of Dota. Interestingly, the name comes from the white bark trees that follow the boundaries of the estate (Vara = bark, Blanca = white).
In the cup this is initially bright and zingy, with room-filling florals off the grinder and it then morphs after sipping with sweet citrus flavours and a long lingering crisp aftertaste. A stunning example of the region and great value at $17/kg.
Kenya AAA Bold

Kenya AAA Bold is a Kenyan coffee like I remember but we haven't seen for years. Big beans, beautiful processing and every roast is a winner through a range of roast depths. At CS8-9 it is bright and crisp with granny smith green apple acidity. Great as a single origin espresso and exceptional in filter and long black drinks too. This is the bean that Sarah used to win Espresso and Milk based medals in the 2015 Golden Bean home roasting competition and you will quickly understand why the judges liked it so much.
Nicaragua Matagalpa A

Nicaragua Matagalpa A really well processed, washed, large bean. Super easy to roast and turns into a cocoa bomb at in the medium to dark end of the roast scale but equally as interesting in the lighter roasts where the aromatics leap out of the cup. Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) graded and grown around 1200m altitude this is a bargain at $10/kg
...the required fine print...
(with the exception of the 1kg Maui, 1kg Panama and the 2kg Elephant Monsoon) All BeanBay green beans are packed in 2.5kg zippered cotton bags, perfect for storage for up to 3 years when kept in a cool, dark and dry position. We ship paid orders out from the Snobbery Monday to Thursday and BeanBay will show the available shipping options to your area. Larger orders are typically cheaper to freight per kilogram so we suggest ordering all your requirements at once. We also strongly recommend that you ship to an attended address (eg: work or grandma's house) to avoid delivery delays.
Enjoy!
