Hey Sparky, did Andy give us any mystery beans this time :P?

Belinda, will the pickup be at 11-12 as you said in an earlier post? Would you be able to PM us with your address?

On another note, I finally went to Naked Coffee in Elizabeth today. Wow, awesome coffee! The first espresso (drinkable) Ive ever tried in a Brisbane cafe. They used a Campos blend: PNG, Sulawesi K, Ethiopian. Anyone else been there?

              Hi Richy

Yes, 11 to 12 is preferred.

Anyone who does not know my address will have to PM me as I dont know who you are.

Andy said in his post Monday that he forgot the surprise.

Avoid South Pine Road northbound on Saturday. It crawls along sooooooo slowly.

                  I blame Andy for this...
Every month I say no I have enough beans.
Then stupidly I read Andys notes on each bean.
Silly me,now I have to try these as well.
Good thing I found some more storage room.
Bad thing is it will hold a lot more beans. :

                  Cheers,
                  Ken.

Ken, its called "cellaring" the beans. (Not "I cant helpmyself!?!?!?!?! )

When I come back to Australia in about 20 years time, my bean collection should be very well "matured" by then

The beans have arrived here, thanks to Ken for transporting them and thanks to Mark for allowing them to be dropped at his place.

                      See you Saturday 11 - 12.

BTW if anyone wants aquatic plants (for fishtanks) I can provide you with some (for free), just bring a plastic bag.

                        Thanks

When I was coming home today I saw a new sign that said Paint n Glaze Cafe or something rather. I wonder if that is blues cafe. Its really close to my place. I shall go past it and spy if it has a nuova simonelli machine:P Hehe... Saw the sign because it was getting dark and the sign lit up.

If it is convenient then we can offer to receive the goods at Gilkatho in Milton and people can pickup from the showroom , Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Let me know if it is going to happen and well have the forklift on standby.

That sounds like an interesting option. Id be happy to pick up from Gilkatho in Milton, especially if it gives us a regular delivery point.

                              The offer is certainly appreciated.

However not everyone will be able to pickup Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.

It kind of makes it hard to have a CS get together though.

Re: Brissy Pickup - after 27th July

I ts a very generous offer of Gilkatho for us to collect from there considering the disruption its likely to cause on the day of collection etc. thanks! I would find it difficult getting there during business hours though.

I really enjoy the getting together element of a beanbay pick up! I think its important because the online community here is not just a community for the sake of it. We come together because of a tangible activity and said activity is typically a social one (ie drinking/making coffee) and we can choose how heavily we wish to invest our time in it both online and offline. I also think the face to face opportunities strengthen the online collectiveness making the online element more successful and theres a lot of academic literature on online learning communities that supports this.... anyhoo.... enough of the soapbox - I forgot myself for a moment....

Thanks again Belinda for hosting this weekend- fabulous host as always, and I WAS able to sleep well last night despite the 4 coffees!!! Goes to show, that if you finish early enough...

Nice to meet some new faces too!

                                Cheers,

                                Meg
