When I bought my pre-loved Rancilio Silvia V3 a couple of years ago I noticed slight bubbles on the group cowling. I'd already come across horror photos of flaked chrome, exposing the ugly plastic underneath, on some Rancilios - for peace of mind I invested in a replacement part. Happily there was no further deterioration on mine; the spare cowling has never been used, and I've now sold my Silvia (for considerably more than I paid for it) and upgraded. Any Silvia owner out there needing a brand-new group cowling?
