Hey Sydney-siders, that M5 is a whacky road.
Youll find a few roads like that. None of thos gun-barrel streets of Melbourne. Any fool can drive straight   :P
Sydney is a stupidly laid out city...no offence. The guys who designed Melbourne got it right. hahaha

See you all in sh!t-knee.....I mean Sydney. I fly out in about 5 hours. I think I should pack my stuff!

I did take a shot of the sub when I drove past. Will upload for those that dont know what we are talking about when I get it off the camera.

Well I made Randwick ok. Woohoo. Spent the last hour star-fished on the bed, funny how sitting on your bum for 12 hours makes you tired.

Hey Sydney-siders, that M5 is a whacky road. Like a roller coaster, up over roads, underground, back up, back under and even tossed-in a jumbo jet on the road overhead. Not your average road for sure.

Now to go and grab someting to eat.

Really looking forward to a coffee at Cuppacoffee in the morning, hope to see lots of CSrs there.

PS:  Holbrook is that wacky inland town with a submarine in the main street.
Slightly off topic, but found out the other day that it was placed in Holbrook when the rest of the Oberon fleet was still in use. Turns out, one of the subs needed a spare part - the only part remaining was in the Holbrook sub! So a slight inland trek resulted in getting the new bearings (or what ever the part was) from a sub stuck in the middle of no-where!
I recall an ABC documentary some years ago about this Submarine

They also reported that while filming they had seen navy engineers looking for spare parts

Its an endless cycle with spares and old machines be it submarines or espresso machines

Priceless looks of worry while they sorted between themselves who was going to make coffee for someone in a CoffeeSnobs van.

Im fairly sceptical about such claims now.
I know what you mean. many times I have seen something like "Try our World famous chocolate mousse" only to find that theyve NEVER heard of the place in France or Italy. I think somethimes they might be telling fibs.

Well Im in the right state now
No truer words were ever spoken!  :P

If I can find some witches hats Ill put them out the front of cuppacoffee for reserved parking for the van.  ;D
Better use some LARGE Road work signs and a speed limt warning... Those cheep witches hats just crumple, when a CS wants to pull in for a coffee ;D

    Andy,

I stopped at Morrisons cafe on one of my many drives to the Blue Mountains once. Needless to say I keep driving now. Glad you had a reasonable experience there.

Theres another place in Queenscliff (Victoria) that claims the best coffee in town - I went there once too.

Im fairly sceptical about such claims now. :-[

All you need is a generator Andy and it would be complete!
I did find myself looking at one during the week... I was tempted.

Well Im in the right state now, see pic 1 for proof.

Crossed the border (without a visa) and the cloud disappeared, nothing but blue sky and about 10 degrees warmer.

    A road-side sign said "ROADWORK NEXT 125KM"... groan, 60, 70, 80, 60, 80, 60kmh... speed-up, down.  sigh.

11km from Holbrook I see a sign in a paddock
Best coffee on the Hume - 11km

Hmmm... sounds like a dare to a CoffeeSnob.

6km I see another, and another at 3km, I had to stop.

Most of the staff were outside on a break when the SnobVan pulled into the car park.  Priceless looks of worry while they sorted between themselves who was going to make coffee for someone in a CoffeeSnobs van.
    ;D

Turns out that they are using Genovese coffee.  I ordered an espresso to have now and a latte to go.

Both were good coffees and being the first coffee that I have had on the Hume they are correct... "Best Coffee on the Hume"... well so far anyway!

    8-)

    Morrisons Cafe
South side of Holbrook township NSW

    Also a retail shop...
    Morrisons of Euroa
(well I guess with the freeway bypass they are now Morrisons of Holbrook)

PS:  Holbrook is that wacky inland town with a submarine in the main street.
