Interesting article...

I had no idea there was so much "at stake" in supplying coffee to cafes.

The same across many industries I suppose. Cola/soft drink wars, beer wars, chocolate wars. I sat next to a guy on the plane last week from one of the major chocolate companies and he was saying how hed been in Sydney working out a long term promotion with one of the petrol retailers over product placement. Amazing the way they design incentive schemes for the shop owners that effectivly block any small company from ever having a chance to get in the door.

Sounds like the same is happening to quality coffee... >
