I had a great day . Travelled up from Canberra for the weekend with the family. Really good to meet AJzCafe, Sharkboy (Fellow Diadema owners) and Andy. Weather was fantastic, atmosphere great and if you timed it well Queues for Coffee werent too bad.

Watching the Barista/Latte Art comp was also fun - some quite different styles on display :-?. Does anyone know who took out the honours?

Looks like it was a great day for the festival . One thing I dont get though, how did you manage to lasso a passing iceberg to plonk your coffee cup on? Talk about influence ;D .

I heard who got top 3 spots...

Had a top day as well,

Took the whole family and met up with friends. What a superb day to spend in the city!.
Bough some roasted beans and the much needed decaf. One of my group even parted way with some hard earned for a Gaggia MDF. He even found out that his Gaggia Classic was a boiler model and not a thermoblock!. He now realises that he has a pretty good setup. I couldnt walk past the ECM stand without having a touchy-feel and a bit of a day dream

Have to say that being my first time it was a bit smaller than expected in terms of number of stalls, but the atmosphere was great. A very enjoyable day was had by all. I look forward to next year.

Yup, was there although didnt think to look here before going.

Couldnt get near the latte art championships (and those TVs should have been above head height - useless as they were!), plus there was no info online about when things were actually happening!

That aside, great day. A tad jittery now though

I think we enjoyed the Tobys Estate coffee the most; although we didnt buy any to take home (silly of us) we did grab some Karmee (same as our favourite local cafe).

course everyone here will remind me that you should be roasting your own anyway

Wooow. Confused the hell out of me....one minute its almost 9 pm today, Sunday July 22, 2007, and Im reading impressions of TODAYs aroma festival....

Next thing the clock is wound back TWO YEARS and Javaphile is towing icebergs our of Sydney Harbor.  

And I had only one wine with dinner, too.
