Sorry I didnt make it guys, although at least I didnt contribute to overcrowding!

My absence was in the service of the coffee appreciation community - delivering my old Napoletana to its new owners and giving them the first lesson in how to make good coffee for themselves. Hopefully I can make an event in the future.

We will have our first home roasting and cupping day on Saturday 18th March:
http://coffee.angliss.vic.edu.au/coffeemaking.htm#8. Methods showcased will be popper, alp, gene and hottop and we will talk about a few simple blend principles. Id love it if perhaps a couple of CS members who use different roasting methods could come and showcase their unique ways in a mini "roastarama" for the attendees also- volunteers?? (of course, this means that you get a freebie to the session 8-))

Jill plans to take the cupping session- and for those yet to do a cupping with Jill- this is where you will really begin to understand single origin coffees. I cannot recommend it too highly.

I just signed up / enrolled for the course on 18th March. Looking forward to expanding my newly learnt roasting skills. And especially lookig forward to the cupping session. Hear people talk about cupping all the time but Ive never been confident enough to try it myself at home, not knowing what the heck I was doing or supposed to be looking for.
