Im up for a road trip to the Southern Highlands, and am also willing to offer seats in my car if need be. Im in the pyrmont/ultimo area.

It would be a lot of fun. For anyone who is put off by travelling to the country, Im in the town of Moss Vale. From Sydney, you head for the M5, keep going past Cambelltown, take the Mittagong turnoff, follow the signs to Moss Vale. Once youre right in Mossy, turn off the main road, two right turns and park in front of my house. Not difficult at all

Id be suggesting either the 5th or 12th of November.

The 5th and the 12th are no good for me. As a youth pastor I have responsibilities on Sunday mornings until about 12pm so if it is a Sunday it would have to be about 1 or so. I would imagine this probably wouldnt suit everyone but if Sunday morning works for everyone else I will just have to pass on this opportunity which is cool. Do these dates and location work for everyone?

Sounds like the 4th is a goer....

Do we want this to be only about roasting? If people want to bring their machines/grinders, I have enough bench space to set a few up, though switching them all on at the same time might be an issue - espresso races would probably be out :P

Woo Hoo Viviane - great to see more gals with garages hosting CS gatherings  8-) In response to a previous question in this thread about what CSers did at gatherings, the one we had in Hobart was great. We had about 7 participants and 2mcm, most people brought their own machines and grinders or doubled up if they had come together. I made sure there was plenty of power outlets, bulk bottled water and lots of milk and everyone just went for it. There was lots of mystery roasts to try and trouble shooting difficult pours and variables.

Our day was quite structured given Chris did a tailored training session on pulling shots and some milk texturing. While I learnt heaps from that part, it was also very cool meeting other CSers, having a look at different machines and grinders in action, getting to have a play and sharing info etc. We didnt really do much roasting except to try out the Hottop that had just arrived, but roasting would have been great with more time and lots of different beans.

Sounds like you are going to have an awesome day in the Southern Highlands - look forward to the post meet posts  

Seriously - I think we are going to have to organise a national CS get together pretty soon, though im not sure if there is a toilet block big enough with that many power points!!!   ;D

I volunteer to host the first International CS gathering!

Power wont be a problem as Ive got 200 amps available both in 120v and 240v as well as both propane and natural gas. ;D

No can do Fatboy. Hawaii wont allow any green beans into the state. To just pass through on a plane beans must be sealed in an airtight container.

So far have we have Viviane, Paolo and myself for the 4th at Mossy any other takers?

Obviously we can tailor it to what everyone wants with people having input with different blends that they like and that sort of thing. Would be interesting if we had a range of different machines and grinders to see what they like in action as well I would think. As well as different roasting techniques.

I was hoping to watch some of you roast and get some ideas for later (I dont roast - yet).
