It would be interesting to see who would be keen to head to the Southern Highlands for this potential event? Car pooling might be in order perhaps and from recent threads coffee related road trips are the latest hot topic. I would be prepared to make the trip for one and offer my car for car pooling purposes. Probably depends where everyone lives in the greater Sydney area I suppose. I am in Ryde district for one.
Brett
Ps. Thanks for offering Viviane

I also have a lack of outdoor roasting facilities , ie - no garage or shed.
Im happy to help out with setting up, supplies, or in any other way I can.
. We will see if there are any other options and than go from there.

Im about 1 1/4 hours drive from Burwood, it would need to be byo extension leads to roast out on the deck, and wed be hoping for good weather, but youd all be welcome

Hey Brett, Id love to offer my place as a venue, but, like yourself I live in a unit and dont have the room. I agree that a meet would be good fun. It wouldnt be too hard to cover the city (Mecca) and the inner east & west within a morning. Perhaps we could do a blast through the city and then all go for a nice cruise out to Cronulla and go to Grind?Originally posted by Coffeechaser link=1160380171/0#8 date=1160550147Well that certainly stopped things in a big way. I am sure it may be a big deal to offer the use of your place for a venue but maybe we can work something out maybe even a sponsor doing a CS member only day or something like that? Maybe we need to start smaller and just have a cafe meet first for Sydney locals so we can meet each other first and see that none of us have two heads or anything (sorry too anyone who does
). Any suggestions would be a good thing at this point.
Brett
I havent been there yet but being an escapee from the Shire I can just imagine how nice it would be to sip a nice ristretto or something with a view of the beach.

So there is atleast 7 of us so seems like a goer. I wonder if some people from other states can offer suggestions as to what they have found most beneficial from CS gatherings so we can have something to work with to try and identify what the day could look like. Venues will be a thing to try and work out too I suppose. Unfortunately I am in a unit so cant really offer my place as an option. If we decide on a venue than perhaps we can start to talk dates that would work for the venue.

NSW Coffee/Roasting Day 4th November 2006
Hi All,
thought I would try to start a thread that continues on from Crazy Popper thread to see if we cant try to get roasting day in Sydney off the ground or something like that. I am a novice as I only purchased the popper today and it is still in the box, So expressions of interest might be a good place to start? Maybe some sponsors might like to be involved? Di Bartoli? Who knows the possibilities are endless. Lets put some thoughts together.
