Re: First Pour Opening - This Saturday 16th Decemb
Lovely to meet some new CSers and see some of the usual suspects again. This week has taken a lot out of me, but Im left with quite a sense of satisfaction.
I dont think that I have ever worked in a business that didnt have a rocky start, but given the frenetic activity of the last week, I actually think that it has run quite smoothly. Touch wood. And the best part is that it can only get better. Touch wood again.
I agree, a great venue with a really good vibe and even my kids enjoyed checking it out.
Andy, your kids are just lovely! I cant believe that they were so well behaved, even after all of that travelling. Thankyou for making the trip. Pete and I were moved.

Congratulations to all of the Veneziano team for this innovative initiative for Melbourne. It looks fantastic and will no doubt become a hub for the Melbourne coffee community....
I am looking forward to popping in this week for a visit!

Are you still getting the under deck lighting for the FB-80?
Looks like somewhere Id like to spend many an hour pouring, discussing, pouring some more.
Kudos.
Yep, were still going to do the extraction spotlights for the FB80. Unfortunately LM couldnt do it for us because they needed to pony up dough and go through some testing procedure in order to be able to sell it in Aus. Given that few people would actually want that feature, we decided to do it ourselves. Well get the wiring diagram from LM and buy the lights and fittings here. For the moment, though, the light box behind the stainless cutout has been more of a concern:

Luca,
congratulations to you and the team! Photos look great and the write-up makes my mouth water...The chap from Perth said it was a little far for him, so given that we are in Connecticut, USA, I hope you guys dont take it personally if we follow along on CS and your blog (unless you want to send us an airplane ticket).
Re: First Pour Opening - This Saturday 16th Decemb
That looks pretty cool, Framey! The WBC photo is exactly what were after. I dont know, but I suspect that were probably after a more yellow light. The FB80 chassis is one big bent piece of stainless, so we cant avoid cutting holes in it to fit the lights.
On another note, Pete has roasted up some Yauco Selecto for Saturday, so ...

What times/days is first pour open? Id love to check it out sometime.
Hi Steve,
First Pour is open weekdays from 8am to 4pm.
The preliminary hours for Saturday are 9am to 1pm, but I think that something like 11am to 3pm might be a little better. I am hanging around an extra few hours today to wrap up some work. What hours do yall think would be best on Saturdays?
We are closing on the 24th and reopening on the 9th.
