        Chris,

Doing a quick scan of the last 20 topics..... this stood out and bit me....

"We need to do a joint"

The bit after the bracket didnt grab my attention like the first bit did.....

Now I know Andy has lots to celebrate today ...... but...... what the??? ;D ;D ;D ;D

Woohoo; its out in the open!

I must admit that part of me is disappointed that the roaster wasnt cobbled together from various BBQs, steel bins and desk fans, but I will forgive you.

          Cheers,

          Luca

Re: Announcing... CoffeeSnobs Brown, the roastery.

Off topic but.... The 1kg roaster go out at circa $6k + freight + GST (think $7k)

Will you be sending email notifactions when the "brown bay" is open every month? Or is it going to be a regular thing?
We are hoping that CoffeeSnobs Brown (BrownBay has been suggested by Fatboy) will always have some beans available and as one origin sells out we will offer-up another.

The actual working will be fine tuned to ensure that everyone gets the freshest coffee and the most choice without having to wait too long to get it.

We will send an email when BeanBay gets its first stock of brown beans but after that the only member notifications will be with the monthly green bean update.

I was just going to ask where the HG goes?  ;D

Well I have already modified the cooling tray to take a double volume fan... cools in half the time now.

So while there is no real need for a HG, the desire to modify is still overwhelming.

this is great news! Im very excited that non-roasters like myself will have a chance to sample beans from previous BeanBays, cant wait!

Have you got a price on what the Brown beans are going to sell for on average?
Also will you be doing only SO roasts or blends.

Will you be offering a Starter pack of Brown Beans. I have already got my Green Bean Starter Pack but a Brown Bean starter pack would also be good?

                                Andy,

If you also did blends in the CS Brown, this would help us newbie roasters with your templates as you will. We could see what beans go together to create enhanced flavours. I myself wouldnt have a clue as to what bean varieties go together but if you could show us the way to ultimate blending passions we could taste your offerings then try to recreate this at home.
