On behalf of the good people at Di Bartoli, Im looking for people whod be interested in taking part in a Barista Jam at the Aroma Festival (The Rocks, Sunday June 22). Its going to be a bit of fun, with our great leader, Andy, having agreed to act as judge, and Di Bartoli offering a Naked PF and a $50 voucher for the winner; as well as a Coffeelab design tamper courtesy of Talk Coffee.

It will be a pretty simple affair- you jump behind one of the machines Di Bartoli are bringing for demonstration, and make a couple of coffees. Everything youll need will be within reach.

Points will be allocated for:
a. Espresso Extraction
b. Milk coffee presentation

The catch is that you have about 5-10 minutes, and will be assigned a machine/grinder (and all the other bits and pieces) at random   So judging will be based on the coffee, and how well youve coped with an unfamiliar machine. If weve got enough people, well have a few rounds, and then a final shoot-out.

The jam will run at 12noon!
