DAMMIT!!! If it had to be a saturday why the 11th? I have work in the morning (dance teaching), my ballet girls going for exams in the arvo and throwing hubby a surprise 30th in the evening! WHY, WHY, WHY??? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
It was actually just a suggestion, I am the only one it suits at this stage so it is not set in concrete.

There is hope for you yet.

August, yes. I would need to leave the city by about 12pm if I drive in though. So I would propose starting early-ish. Others could kick on if they wanted. After reading Lucas blog I was thinking of suggesting Cordial at Newtown for breakfast. That way a trip to Campos before preogressing to some of the city delights. But all thoughts at this stage as i know Grind was also suggsted as a starting point.

Grind is good, then we could go to Tidzs at the Park at Oatley (theyre using Single Origins stuff) and then onto the city? That way, the first "hop" wont be so large! LOL!

We did the tour a few weeks ago Jason - didnt really get to see too many coffee places as it was combined with chocolates

I guess the tour company has to keep its liability down, lest customers have cardiac seizures, extended migranes etc due to caffeine overload.

Perhaps the best way to neutralize the caffeine is combine it with beer drinking as suggested by Robusto - would need to be a public transport trip then.

One idea for the day is to have a coffee snob award for the best Barista on duty during the crawl. To find a Barista on a Saturday that has time to care for the shot might be tough - may need to warn them that they are to about to shoot for a bunch of Coffee Snobs.

Brett, I eat breakfast at Cordial at least once a week and can thoroughly recommend it - I like this idea.

Although I was also suggested Grind as a starting point, so perhaps I should stop suggesting things!

Cordial is 130 Carillon Ave, Newtown. That was my suggestion as I know they have breakfast. Where Grind does not. I like Grind though when I have been there and they have a blend as well as SO running. Just to get it all out there so that people can put forward their informed opinions.

I have added a poll to get the ball rolling a little more to try and firm up what suits different people.

Re: Who is keen for a Sydney Coffee Crawl?

I am sure others will want to vote in the poll as well. There are 2 for 8am and 3 for 9am and 1 for 10am at this stage. So I would like to propose that those interested in breakfast would meet at 8am at Cordial and realisitcally it would be 9am by the time that nears to an end. Therefore the people keen for a 9am start can still meet at Cordial for a quick coffee before a jaunt towards Campos. This is all for the 11th of August. Sorry for those that it does not suit but hopefully next time. At least this way Scoota gets to come to one in Sydney, as it is not every weekend that Scoota is here.

For those who want to come later or meet part way through the crawl maybe you can just pm me and I will give you my mobile number to contact me to see where we are at. Unless you are a stalker in which case I wont give you my number

Does this sound fair to those interested?
