Re: Who is keen for a Sydney Coffee Crawl?

Brett, sounds good to me. I think that wed want to get to Cordial early to be sure of getting a table anyway.

I know I suggested Cronulla, but it looks like Newtown has the numbers!

Maybe we can end up at Cronulla!?

I know I voted for 9am but only because I think Ill be coming from out near Picton so I figured it would give me enough time to get there. But seeing as Im chronically up at 7am I suppose I could nearly make 8am at Newtown on a Saturday morning! Do you think?

You guys had just better pray for me that it doesnt rain! (otherwise, Ill be driving and not riding and so therefore will be slower!)

If the weather is anything like today Scoota, well be wearing shorts!

Picton to Newtown in an hour - depends on how many points you have left on your licence, though the duke could do it easy. Well listen out for you (can you tell I miss riding?)

If you end up going to Cronulla in the arvo and you find that Grind is not open dont despair. The one opposite Northies closes early but there is a street off the mall where they have another store, which is open until 5pm. It is also a little larger for seating than the small one with the view.

You may already be aware of this but thought I would put it out there all the same.

Dennis, I would get on the Hume Fwy and go up the M5 all the way, it wouldnt take much more than an hour that way do you think?

Actually, I just "whereis" it and it said it would take 59 minutes! LOL!

The more the merrier Kwax. Welcome to Coffeesnobs and you will find we are a friendly bunch in person as well. I have met a few snobs before and there has never been a problem starting up conversation so I am sure you will have a great time with us that can make it this time around.

Hi all... a bit late coming in here, but Im pretty keen on the Newtown leg of this crawl. Cordial @ 8 and then onto Campos (and maybe Tobys Estate (City Rd, Broadway) down the road??)

Ill go vote now... thanks for organising coffeechaser!

I was thinking the same Benandfaith, about Tobys at Chippendale that is. Seems an obvious flow from Newtown to there.

Thought Id share some distance info for the Newtown locations...

If you start at Cordial, its a 3 minute walk to Campos (maybe less?) and then a further 15-20 min walk to Tobys @ Chippendale (I live pretty much exactly between Tobys and Campos!). From Tobys its a short walk to Broadway for buses into the city. As for parking, theres a combination of metered and non-metered parking around Cordial/Campos and pretty much free street parking near Tobys.
