    http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/CU0708/S00183.htm has some more info.

Was a full page ad in yesterdays NZ Herald too with names and profiles of the NZ Black Cups and the Aussie Baristaroos...

David, Zoe and Con condescended to train a little bit for this this week, so well all be very interested to see how this one goes! Do keep us posted.

Well the training paid off - congratulations to David, Con, Zoe and the rest of the Baristaroos team for keeping the trophy in Aussie hands! The Aussie team won all three segments of the competition (two teams events and one solo)

It was impressive to see each team churn out 30 drinks in under 8 minutes!

The festival was fairly small but interesting enough for a geek. I got chastised by Valente (the VBM importers) for tweaking my machines settings. Apparently 12 bar pump and 1.5 bar boiler is intentional factory setting...

Hmm- not so in Oz Matt. I receive mine at circa 9.75 bar (to allow for 0.5-0.75 bar loss as the pump beds in) and 1.25 bar....

Bizarre that Valente would say that.....and their concern is  :-???

          P.S- Congrats Aussies....Excellent win 8-)

well, he went on about how 12 bar on the gauge is different to the pressure at the filter, which is fair enough to a point, but not (from what youve said) to the level that they claim. Still, reports on the web claim that the NZ machines are set up for local conditions, whatever that means...

            still, I can always play...

I thought there was still the Australian leg in Adelaide in October?
