Woohoo, CoffeeSnobs just bought a new van.  

Ferrari don’t make vans so we settled on the next manufacturer alphabetically, Fiat.  For those that care about details, its a June 2007 “Fiat Ducato 2.3JTB Maxi”.  

So now we own a big white box on wheels that needs some creative input to make it look a little more interesting and get some marketing value out of it.

Announcing the CoffeeSnobs design a van competition.  

The rules are simple, the images below are of the van from front, back and both sides.  Colour them in using Photoshop and if your design is the one I like the most them you will win something.  Not sure what yet, maybe 5kg of coffee or similar.   There is no guarantee that the winning design will be used, and there is every chance that only parts of the winning design will be used but you will sure get a kick out of seeing your design around the traps.

The business name is coffeesnobs.com.au so that needs to be on the van (preferably on all 4 sides and no www) but anything else is fair game.

Right-click and save image as to get the bare van shots.

I look forward to more creative entries than my initial scribble...

I am not much into designing, but what about the coffee snobs logo, with "Our name says it all" written in there somewhere in some fancy scrolling?

Although what you have done on the top Andy looks pretty good too!

Should write "Powered by Caffeine" on the back of the van.:P
Have Coffeesnobs.com.au in green at the top of the windscreen.
Just 2 ideas as I saw it.

Looks like it can hold a few kg of beans

IMHO, it needs more colour. Good ideas so far but it needs more standout colour...just my 2c worth. I have the imagination of a rock other than that...

I have to tell you, its a big change from a little 2 door, black sports car... this diesel monster drives like a bus so I have to stop "hooking" into my fav corners and think about braking a whole lot earlier. I turned over 150km in it today in 35 degree heat and it ran like a dream (phew!)


Few kilos of beans? 1500 of em in fact! (Thats a fair few popper roasts)

Ideas are great if you dont have art skills (or software), keep em coming.

I was wondering if latte art or a good pour would work on the van too, although joe-blow on the street might not "get it".

PS: have ordered a set of vanity plates for it too, SNOBS. Black background, white text.

Im not a graphic artist by any stretch of the imagination, but for your consideration, you could maximise the appearance / focus on the CoffeeSnobs brand name and lessen the dot com dot au bit - my rationale is that to the average Joe Consumer, while its nice to know there is a WWW site, in this day and age, its almost a given.

Therefore, perhaps you could use large letters for the Coffee Snobs bit, and smaller (less significant) letters for the ".com.au" after it.  Kinda like CoffeeSnobs.com.au if you get my drift.

Anyhoo, thats my $0.02.  Great Van BTW!  Should run on the smell of an oily rag!

Thats funny Shannon. I offer advance apologies to your boss.

Im not sure of what the actual "wrap" designs will cost to do, Im expecting it to be fairly expensive but if the design is good enough then I might be able to justify breaking the piggy bank.

It will be interesting to see just how good a reproduction the sign guys can do too, I found with the CS member cards that reproducing brown bean colours is pretty tricky to get right.

I should mention too... I dont mind if the back windows are filled-in, you cannot see anything useful out of them anyway.

I dont know if my graphics "skills" are up to it, maybe they are and the ideas department is lacking.

However, one thought just popped in.

Coffeesnobs.com.au on the roof.

Give those traffic reporters in their helicopters something different to look at.
You never know, it might get a mention and the occasional TV exposure from those eye in the skyl shots.

One idea I reckon is to have a large coffeesnobs bit on the front, backwards, so you can see it right way round in your mirror.

Something else about "urgent coffee delivery" on there as well.
