Re: Celebrate the Bean - Melbourne 2nd March

    Im in. Those poor judges

Im already resigned to failure, so my biggest worry is that if I try the crocs on, they might be so comfortable that Ill start wearing the things!

Re: Celebrate the Bean - Melbourne 2nd March

Now I would enter if they made Crocs that were my size... $50 well spent... but I guess there is just no market for sizes above 16...
So my search continues for comfortable slippers/lazy peoples shoes for me

Good Luck in the comp fatboy & marty To be honest though, I doubt the non CSers will stand a chance :P
Anyway if I am free I will check out the CS display, sounds like it will be quite interesting.

        John.

This is what my email said.
Can you please mark your diary that I have allocated you for the first session to commence at 1pm on Sunday 2 March at the Main Stage at Waterfront City.
You will compete in the first group from 1:15pm - 1:30pm.

Exactly the same here, Marty - hope they have separate machines and not just a 2 or 3 group commercial (I dont like to share)

Re: Celebrate the Bean - Melbourne 2nd March

Couldnt be a shared machine surely.
We all need to do steaming for the 2 milk drinks. Trying to share and stay within a 15 minute window wouldnt seem plausible.

They say the machine/grinders will be Gaggia. To me that says its either home machines like the Classic, or full-on commercial machines.

Do Gaggia make a single group HX?

if its a knock out comp 1 of us will have to go .That means we cant get 1,2,3!
Someone else will have to enter.
M@ once you wear those crocs you will get addicted. They are so comfy. Dont know how good they are for your feet though but theyre great for fishing.

I can understand the attraction for fishing, but wouldnt your feet sweat in them out of water? I always wondered about that. Mind you, I find thongs uncomfortable ;D Some shoe fashions leave me perplexed. I was in town yesterday, playing tourist guide to some o/seas visitors (from Canada : they would have been suffering more than I was) dying in the heat, and there was a girl with hardly any clothes on, but sporting a pair of pink ugg boots.

So, who wants to participate? What ideas do you have for the display? What else should we do?
Id be happy to help, although about all I can think of being useful for is to hand out leaflets or something. :-[ But if you can think of a job I could help with, Ill be there.

Im sure you could teach me some things about popper roasting Judy, most people that come and see us have prob never seen a green bean!

Even if only for a social day out it should be a blast.

I wonder if it would be rude to ask one of the stalls to make us coffee with CS beans?

In fact, maybe Ill take a grinder too

Talk about a thorn among the roses... its all the CS ladies that are keen on having a bean filled Sunday by the water.

Judy the crocs look ugly, but I have been converted.I used to laugh at other people wearing them until I was given a pair. Now I wear them around the house and in public as well ,as for fishing in them they have plenty of holes so your feet dry quickly .
