Thanks Linda, Ill let you know if I think of anything.

Here is a map of the site... we will be in #23 with a nice view over the water (I think we get a view from there)

It looks like it might be a great 24C day too, pack your sun-screen CSrs!

The good news is that St Ali are neighbours so we know we can get a good coffee within arms reach... and they can get our roasting residue (read: smoke and chaff) for free!

We also have a couple of site sponsors on-site and within eye shot too...

Using Coffex Coffee if theyre one of the chief sponsors is only fair! Theyre putting up the money for it....stale or not!

I doubt that they would pony up stale coffee. Im sure that theyll arrange something that will reflect (relatively) well on themselves - they have plenty of notice.

Only about 6.5 hours till my alarm goes off for Celebrate the Bean.

The van is packed (we only managed to half fill it) and I think I have everything.

My get out of jail card is that Paula and the kids wont leave home till mid morning so anything I forgot can still be delivered.

Looking forward to a great day out in perfect weather, meeting up with CSrs from far and wide, site-sponsors, suppliers and lots of the coffee faces of the Melbourne coffee scene.

See you there and if you cannot make it then the pictures from the day will have to do.

A few Snobbers here, lots of coffee being roasted and a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne!

Just returned from Celebrate the Bean.

Great set-up! There appeared to be lots of people taking an interest in home roasting and the info you had to share (me included). It was inspiring to see some different methods and thanks Reuben for the roast sample. Might give it a decent rest though

Looking forward to an update on the home barista competition. Any news?

Ok, I probably have a better photo of Andy here.

Great day for Celebrate the Bean. Was a lot smaller than I had expected and not as many retailers as I would have liked. But the booths that I enjoyed were firstly the Tobys Estate which had pretty good coffee, Coffeesnobs booth where I purchase a pack of Espresso Wow beans, the Diamond C booth were I had a play with the K3 Touch and the St Alis booth where I had a try of the Clover coffee. Went to 5 Senses to have a coffee as well but I must say that the Balinese single estate coffee that they were serving didnt taste all that good at all.

Well, thats my evaluation of the day. Still fun though.
