I didnt see one when we packed-up, I would suggest giving "The Beach Club" a call: 03 9329 2360

    Hi All,

I attended and very much enjoyed the Vic Barista Champs final on Sunday.

However I mislaid a waterproof jacket, I think probably at the venue - I must have been suffering the effects of too much caffeine??

It is a Cloudveil two tone blue lightweight jacket.

I would very much appreciate if someone has it or has suggestions of a further avenue of enquiry.

    Regards,

    Peter

What do you mean Linda? Signature drink or what is required to be served to judges?

    Signature.

Was that blueberries I saw Dave cooking up with in the saucepan?.

Thanks aedion. Only state winners and territory winners are automatically in to the national finals. I will have to take out the National Opens to make it in the National Final the next day. I will be training and tweaking my routine based on the feedback given to me by all the judges that judged me on the weekend gone by.

Was a good show, but I think toshi the slurper was the highlight Congrats to all the guys. I was especially pleased to see Will Hudson from Mildura in the finals. A good showing given he hasnt got an experienced team behind him and it bodes well for coffee in general that competitors arent only coming from the middle of town.

I would like to see the coffee cart out the front replaced with something else though. Such a shame to have the barista working on the FB80s in the comp, then come out onto the san marino for the public to sample their blends. Im confident the double basket on my Qhaha holds more coffee, and I know I get better shots out of it. A couple of Makin Mavers on a table instead would have done far more justice to the coffees.

Well done to the all the competitors, putting yourself up on show under intense scrutiny takes serious courage.
Congratulations to Dave M, Con & Dave S (Bloody well done, 3rd place in a really tough field at your first hit out Dave - great result).
Very impressive work in the cupping by Toshi.

The cupping comp went over a treat (well done Andy).

All of the organisers, competitors and judges deserve a big pat on the back.

Its encouraging to see so much commitment, everyones passion is truly infectious.

Really well done to all involved.

    Cant wait for Nationals.
