    David Makin 809 points
    Con 776 points
    David Seng 768.5 points

It was tense at the best of times...fantastic experience.....tired as hell and have to go to my day job tomorrow....making coffee.

Just for transparency, Con did not train with Team Veneziano nor did he use Veneziano coffee...well done to him. He took out 1st place Latte Art, 2nd place Barista Championships and 3rd place Cupping Championships.

Toshi stole the show in the final of the cuppings. Con was the fastest cupper calling time at 1 min 24 sec. Zoe about 30 seconds later.....and Toshi the slowest but more methodical of the lot calling time at 2 min 12 sec. Con got 2/8 correct, Zoe with 4/8 and Toshi the master cupper 7/8....for those thinking about entering the cupping comp...its not all about speed....you have 8 minutes to assess 8 sets of 3....plenty of time.

Back to training....no rest for the wicked.

No, its FREE to come and watch the best in the state pour, cup and art on both days.

Even better, after each barista has competed they will spend 15 minutes on a coffee cart with their own coffee and for something like a a gold coin donation they will make you a cup of coffee too.

There will be screens to get a good view, cameras on the pour and plenty of people with a coffee passion to have a yak to.

Should be a great day out.
