I just realized that the LOGO is not part of this sign!!

I have fixed that and should now be comp legal

                    Re: 5000th CoffeeSnob contest.

Okay, heres my entry to the 5000th CoffeeSnob contest.

I live on a sidestreet that joins onto a busy road in Newcastle, and every day at peak hour its jam packed with cars, backed up as far as you can see. So one afternoon whilst walking home from uni along the path that runs beside the road, passing the stationary line of cars, I thought I might as well give the drivers something to look at while waiting for the traffic light far in the distance to turn green...

So I made up some posters and attached them to a wooden rod, and hammered them into the ground beside the road. I had some trouble with the wind tending to want to blow them over, but I managed to get them to stay upright for a decent amount of time during afternoon peak hour

Anyway here are a couple of pics...

And heres a shot of the posters by themselves..

                    Cheers,
                    forneva

                          cack!

Excellent effort Forneva, that would have had a few people scratching their heads for sure. I look forward to hearing from someone "I found the site while sitting in my car in Newcastle"

Keep em coming, the prize list at the start of this thread is huge and varied, well worth having a crack at.

But i think its has a harsh subliminal message about Nescafe.

At my office of about 200, Im sort of known as the one a bit too particular about my coffee than that which is reasonable... The office only has instant and a drip pot which uses supermarket pre-ground, so my daily ritual is I carry my grinder (in the auspost box) and my Gaggia carezza (in the green bag) to the kitchen and make myself (and occassionally a colleague as well) a coffee. My desk is already cluttered with way too many coffee paraphernalia and so I decided, why not modify my desktop background as well...
