Ok, its time for the picture fun to begin!

I will be dividing the pictures up into different categories and posting them all directly on the CS server. This means there will be one picture per post. This will allow easier referencing to a particular picture in discussions and prevent their being used/sold by an image hosting site with-out permission.

For ease of viewing all images will be reduced too 30% of their original size.

There will be multiple pictures of some items, ie different viewing angles and lighting conditions.

With a few exceptions all pictures in the equipment categories will be posted with-out comment. The brands of the equipment is visible on the vast majority of the equipment pictures. If you have any questions on a particular picture feel free to post it and I will respond as best as I am able.

All the pictures will be posted here in the News section in a centralized location rather than splitting them up into smaller categories and posting them in multiple forums.

We owe a big thank you to SCAA for the access they granted CoffeeSnobs and too all the vendors who so generously allowed pictures to be taken of their products and displays. Per the conference/press rules every vendor was asked for permission to take pictures of their displays/items.

As a side note only one vendor refused permission for pictures to be taken. Not very bright of them if you ask me as they sell a home roaster and hence missed out on free publicity on one of the worlds largest and busiest coffee sites! One dedicated to the very market theyre selling too!! Oh well, their loss! Please do not ask what company it was as given their downright rude response to my polite request to take a picture Ill not give them publicity of any kind.

Please note: Pictures of some equipment will not be included in the general threads as they are deserving of a thread all unto themselves and will be written up in detail later. So if any vendors perusing the site dont see a picture of their product dont worry. It just means that youre special and will have a thread all to yourself later!

Well the con is over and somehow I managed to survive! Im not quite sure how I accomplished that, but somehow I did!

Stay tuned for lots of comments on the conference and of course lots of pictures!

Hhhmmm....Perhaps it was this big cuppa java that kept me awake for the last 5 days!

Is that a 1 or 2 kg roaster. As Borat would say, "Vedy niiicccce"

I believe thats their 2kg model, with a retail price of around $USD8,500.

Unfortunately caffeine will only work so long!! Hhhmmm....10 hours of sleep in the last 3 days!

Not enough time in the day to post, let alone sleep!!

I did manage to score a sample bag of the tea espresso mentioned in another thread a few days ago that I will be giving a go after the conference is over.

Im sorry Im not posting anything at this point but the fact of the matter is that there just isnt enough time in the day to do it. Im at the conference running from one thing to another for 14 hours or more a day and by the time I get home I have to head right to bed to get 6 hours of sleep if Im lucky before getting up and heading out to do it all over again!

Given the hectic schedule of events Ill probably be lucky to post anything of length before the conference is over.

As a teaser, today I had what may be the highlight of the whole week-end. It was certainly one of the highlights of my life! I had a chance to meet and spend some time with Jane Goodall. Javaphile, anything on roast profiling, eg. effect of slow/fast ramping to first crack (just an example), that sort of useful stuff to all of us home roasters.

Also blending info, bean marriages "made in heaven" ( ) , etc.
