    Re: WBC - David Makin runner-up 2008

Unfortunately I exceeded my internet download limit while watching so I only got to watch the 3rd and 4th finalists (I only just got on at 8:30pm after dinner so I missed the first 2 I think). Ill definitely rewatch the recordings later when my internet speeds back up from 5kps.

Congrats to David and the rest of the team from Australia supporting him for a great effort!

I thought Daniel Remhedens performance was A1, for a second language he presented very well and I expect will give it a shake next year.

Stephen Morrisseys tray-less espresso serving was a huge risk but I expect might have been enough to score mental-bonus points with the Judges.

It was a great nights entertainment, Im sad that David didnt score a couple of extra points but still.... 2nd in the world is pretty impressive, he and his "team" should walk tall.

A huge congratulations to David and Team Australia. Making it to the Finals was amazing. Placing 2nd in the world is beyond awesome! We were all on the edge of our seats watching the finals results.

And Luca - thanks for keeping us informed and entertained!

Phenomenal effort; I think that he will be very happy with that. Heard that the difference was about two points; well see soon enough. I was glad to see that Liesbeth from the Netherlands made it to the top 3; her performance was super tight. Unfortunately, Stephens feed kept cutting out on me, so I never got to see it Massive props to Mike Yung from Canada for a stellar recovery after his vac pot burner failed completely on him.

Results will be posted after all of the competitors have had their debriefing. In the meantime, half-way across the world, people are grabbing all of the LM loot they can and heading off for beer.

    Gnight,

    Luca
