    My turn!

I want to give a big thank you to Andy and Paula, working side by side with two awesome people who have become friends is something special!   It was such good fun...and didnt we make a mess?!! ;D

To Bruce, Tim, Pip, Chris and Rueben, thanks guys. Loved making coffee with you, and sharing some awesome fun, we will have to do it again and soon...with much smoke and chaff!!  ;D

It was great meeting other CSrs aswell. Coffeemum, enjoy your Gene, let me know if I can help you with anything...it would be a pleasure.

And I want to thank a certain origin of bean, that had us all in fits of laughter... Wee Wee Poo Poo...you know who you are.  ;D

(mods...if you deem the above name inappropriate, and are required to remove it, I will understand)

We were in Melbourne for a wedding the same day, visited Wicked Sunday, unfortunately didnt get a chance to say hi with wife tapping foot and 5yo pulling me towards the chocolate area.

Was nice to see the stall so busy, did manage to pop a shot of Andy through the crowds :-)

Got a few pics......hopefully I can load them a bit later.
Big thanks to the Guy from Veneziano ?? (new, been there 6 weeks) drove me to Liar Liar and hooked me up with Nolin who was very helpful and kept those Clovers coming. Also Marinus from Padre coffee who spent time with me during his busy day, much appreciated. The dude from Auction rooms (he was really busy) but still took time to chat.Toshi thanks also for your expertise on the syphon, got a few new tweaks to apply. Coffees great but the people are greater. Andy and his wife too, cheers for your time with my orders etc.

My awards go to... Flat White (Nolin, Liar Liar) the best ever, with his 3 bean blend.
Clover, Brother Baba Budan = with Liar Liar.
Short Black, Padres...not my thing usually but this had planty going on, awesome !

    Thanks again

    Hi Redzone,

sorry we didnt catch up for a coffee or a longer chat. Reminds me of a trip a while ago carrying an aluminium briefcase full of tools batteries and electronics (pre 2001) weighing in at over 14kgs Raised the shoulder as high as possible and look striaght ahead Still caused an open inspection at every xray point for some reason but they dont care about the weight just the content

Arrived home at 8.00pm Monday night to NZ. A fantastic 5 days in Melbourne and awesome to meet some Snobs face to face.
Thanks Andy for the advice, I kept a straight face as I carried a very heavy bag as carry on luggage (no body weighed it) but is was not 7 kgs thats for sure.
Has the full inspection as I went through the MAF check point, all my loot laid out like a drugs haul. It was a proud moment  ;D

Anyway all home safe and sound. Big thanks to the Snobs and Andy for making CS being what it is
Good stuff redzone....We will look forward to seeing you and the sniffer dogs on a forthcoming episode of border security  ;D

Great to meet you and hope your eyes recovered from the smoke in the CS stand region

Attended my first official coffee ecent at Celebrate the Bean yesterday. I was in coffee heaven and the wife was in Chocolate heaven - a win-win!

Thanks to Tim for pointing me in the right direction of the CS tent when Taylor from BBB had no idea that a roast was happening. Has the pleasure of meeting Andy and picking up a "mystery roast freebie" which is maturing whilst I finish off my Gypsy.

Hung around the CS tent probably too much, asking millions of questions - became keen on the Gene Roaster - i think that will be my next big purchase.

Picked up a L shaped brush for cleaning under the group head from HBIs little stand - best $10 spend of the day.

Watched the sample roasting on stage, a very pretty young lady got covered in chaff - but walked away with a fresh roast and a bag of beans to play with.

Just need to find a cheap second hand popper to play with and then order a starter pack from Andy - dont really want to taint my new popper with Beans just yet.

Good job ladies and gents - confirming my recently found love affair with this addiction we call coffee.

    Cheers
    Melbuurn (aka Andrew)

Did anyone grab any photos? I took a few, but more general, none that positively ID any CSers.

I wish I was more of a photographer...

Here is a photo I took Sunday, sorry I dont know the names, someone else will identify them hopefully...

A very enjoyable and illuminating day, and plenty of great coffee.

Congratulations and well done to Andy and the team.

    Peter
