That syphon looks like a yama, cant beleive how cheap it is, even with the currency conversion.

It is a nice price just wondering if it was show spacial or not? Espressoparts have them listed at nearly twice that in USD.

Any idea whos stand it was Javaphile?

Mmmm Syphons does quick count on the shelves (plural  ;D ) 11 as of today plus the balance brewer  :-[ Also I have 2 more Cona Size As coming from Germany in the next few weeks  just because they are cute oh and postage was cheaper for 2 8-)

Always room for another syphon but alas no room for a wife

Yeah it was a good price. Ive no idea if it was a show special or their regular price. It was another of those booths I intended to get back to and lighten their homeward load a bit : ;D but ran out of time. >

I believe that was a company based in the US called Northwest Glass Designs. www.coffeeandteapots.com

One of the changes Id like to see next year is longer hours for the trade show floor. There just wasnt enough time to see and do it all.

It looks like it was a show special.

Blowing up the full res pic its their part number TCA-3D. Here it is on their site where its priced at $49: http://www.coffeeandteapots.com/yama-tabletop-coffee-siphon-p-235.html

Oh well, I was already overweight and had to buy an extra bag to fly home with on top of the 2 extra ones I brought with. I guess I would really have been in trouble had I actually made it back to all the booths I wanted too! Of course if Id been able to bring home everything I wanted too Id have had to hock the house and rented a truck! :

Any more info on that cold press maker, Javaphile?
                        Looks interesting.

Have you tried this method rather than the standard Toddy soak method?

                        Any info would be great!

I had a good chat with them at the show and we are already talking to them about potential import into Australia.

                          Fingers crossed!

Its a bit different than the CP that I make as it doesnt yield a concentrate but rather a regular strength coffee. Otherwise I would expect it to produce the same great brew, just not as a concentrate. I was, and still am, sorely tempted by their large Cold Brew system. Itd fit in perfect here along with all the other mad scientist kit sitting around the homestead!

I think they need to send some of that equipment here for a thorough beta testing before you can make a decision! ;D
