I am having trouble with this, not coming up with something, but WHY you want to come up with something and WHAT it is you want to come up with?

Do you want a tag?

A philosophy/mission statement?

Core values/reason for being?

A Unique Selling/Sales Proposition (USP)?

All of these are probably useful and could be used in a number of situations.

However, CoffeeSnobs is so simple, specific, separatist, unique (sorry couldnt come up with an s word), that to my mind if you add to it with a slogan you will detract from its strength.

When I tell my friends about CoffeeSnobs I dont need to explain it, the name speaks for itself.

So if you really are keen to develop something then I think we need more idea of how you want the "slogan, catchphrase or motto" to be used in order to come up with something appropriate.

So if you really are keen to develop something then I think we need more idea of how you want the "slogan, catchphrase or motto" to be used in order to come up with something appropriate.

I can see where you are coming from Geoff but the best brainstorming is done with an ambiguous question that relies on each persons own interpretation.

I like what Ive seen so far, some great ideas in there.

I like your emphasis on the spiritual aspect of coffee Javaphile.

Early last month a team of archaeologists were working a site in Ethiopia that was known to be associated with Solomons paramour, the Queen of Sheba. A tomb on the site was discovered to be intact, and inscriptions revealed the tomb to be that of one Aleph Bethala a high priest of ancient Israel. Along with the remains were clay jars and these contained a fabulously preserved treasure - scrolls containing the writings of Solomons father, King David, including a version of psalm 23.

There was great surprise however when the psalm was translated as it was substantially different to the psalm 23 with which most people are familiar. While the news of the translation and the discovery of the documents was being held a closely guarded secrets, one of the students with the archaeological team has leaked the news to a reporter in Ethiopia who was researching a story on the origins of coffee.

There is wide concern that the nature of the differences will cause disturbances among religious groups world wide, and while it may be irresponsible of me, I am going to risk the wrath of fundamentalists by posting the re-discovered psalm 23 on Cafe Grendel (and in coffeesnobs).

I will be turning my phone off and leaving for an undisclosed location until the threats to my life cease.

LOL Nice Grendel. The version I always remember is the one that was my units motto in the Marines: Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for Im the meanest motherfu*ker in it! Use of the plural when said as a group of course. ;D

After a few cups of what they claimed was coffee it was understandable why everyone was always so pissed! ;D
