    Andy
Thank you to you, Mark Beattie, Joseph Rivera, the 9 Bar Espresso team and Cafetto for putting together such an excellent series of presentations and sharing the knowledge and experience you have all accumulated over many years.
It was also great to meet CS members and have the opportunity to talk about such a wide range of coffee related subjects.
    A sensational weekend.

Best $50 I ever spent... and that investment was paid back in spades by the complimentary showbag alone. Even if I had spent 10 times that amount for the 10 seminars on offer I would have walked away with a huge smile on my face.

A huge thank you to Andy and his helpers as well as to all those who shared their valuable time and knowledge with us.

Lastly, it was very nice and somewhat amusing to finally be able to put faces to so many of the leading CS personalities. Some of you even looked EXACTLY how I had picture you.. eerily so

      Cant wait till next year

Re: The Australian Coffee Festival & Cafe Biz 2011 - Melbourne

It was fantastic to meet all those who came, and catch up with those who I have become good friends with inside the industry.

Andy. I am sorry again that I couldnt make it for Sunday, In-laws put a stop to that, and unfortunately I had to pull out for the next day at the last minute.

Thank you. You spoilt us rotten and it was a pleasure to help you. You make us all proud to be CSs.
Like Chris said you need a break for a bit.

        Onto Next Year!!  ;D

Can only agree with the above! What a great event.

I really hope Andy hasnt been left out of pocket. Great to meet fellow CSers in person, and absolutely amazing to have people like Joseph give talks. I know Hazbean & I both found it really informative - were both planning some minor adjustments in our roasting just to see ;D Unfortunately thatll have to wait a bit, due to the show bag Andy put together :

Andy: full, no holds-barred Kudos. "You are hero to revolution, comrade!"

Re: The Australian Coffee Festival & Cafe Biz 2011 - Melbourne

                Wow, **blush** thanks everyone!

I have to agree that was a great weekend and Im so glad that we had a crack at putting on the first ever Beanology event.  Like everything CS does, dollars are never the motivation (yeah it would have run backwards if I was counting) it was far more important that everyone had a good time, shared knowledge and enjoyed the experience.  Its that fun, positive stuff that makes us all members of this awesome community.

...and for as many thank-yous that I get, the attendees deserve just as many, you all got in the true spirit of the event, met each other and shared in some good bean times.

I want to give a huge shout-out, unashamed plug and a sincere thank-you to everyone that made the event what it was...

Justeen, Louise, Kristeen, Tilly, Sean and Kevin from the CafeBiz "family" put in tons of hours on phones and emails to get the concept off the ground and they all worked tirelessly to make the whole of Cafebiz run like clockwork both leading up to the event and during the 3 crazy days on the ground.

Mark from Coffee Roasters Australia , Joseph from www.coffeechemistry.com Chris from Cafetto and the 9Bar crew with the two Giove machines all put in a huge amount of effort in their presentations that not only covered from beginner to expert but involved the audience so everyone was a part of the show.

CSr Linda who worked all day Saturday (missing the content) to ensure that eveyone got their name tags and lanyards... without her everyone would be still standing in a queue to get into Beanology!

George and Sue from The Coffee Man who setup and demod the stunning orange Rancillio lever restro for shots all weekend, Craig from Otto who flew in from Sydney just to show us the inner workings and how to use his beautiful machine all put in huge efforts to make the weekend special.

Chris from Talk Coffee for flying the new Breville down from Sydney along with the new Macap grinder for us to play with and Greg from www.appliancemaintenance.com.au for letting us play with the brand new Mahlkonig grinders.

Curtis from www.aeropress.com.au and Ben from www.espressogearaustralia.com.au who last minute freighted some great equipment to play with.

Joe and the crew from the Melbourne showgrounds all helped "above and beyond" including my (new) friends in the Security team who let me into the venue really early and let me leave really late each day.

CSrs Trentski and Pip who hung around to some silly hour Sunday night and tirelessly helped me stuff everything back into the Snob van, wow guys, I would have still been there Monday without your help - thanks!

...and to windup whats become an oscar length speech, again I would like to thank all those CSrs who were lucky enough to get there.  Its your wide eyed enthusiasm and passion for everything coffee that drives us all to try harder and share more.

                (anyone still awake?)

Thanks everyone, Im sure that was just the first CoffeeSnobs Beanology of many more to come in the future!

                8-)

Now back after a somewhat damp return drive to Adelaide.

Absolutely worth the effort. Well done Andy and team.

The speakers, the people, the coffee, the toys!
What more could the avid coffeesnob want?

                  Only another one ...

                    No, thank YOU, Andy!

When I walked past, could not believe the amount of gear in there, and can only guess how many hours you mustve spent organising.

Anyone else got massive caffeine withdrawals post CafeBiz?

                      Andy,
To further fill your Kudos far, Damn good show mate. Flew down from Brisbane with the hope that is would be half of what it was. I could not believe the organisation and effort you and your team put into it to get it to what it was.

I am really disappointed that I had to leave early yesterday but flights and family were waiting.

CSs, you are all a huge credit to the Coffee industry in Australia and I can only hope that we never stop exchanging ideas and helping each other out.

                      Thanks again to ALL......

We sent emails, posted on the site and it was even published in magazines and newspapers... but to be fair most of that would have been before you joined.  Next time eh!

Very embarrassed... I knew there was a thank-you missing from my late night list.

CSr Linda who worked all day Saturday (missing the content) to ensure that eveyone got their name tags and lanyards... without her everyone would be still standing in a queue to get in!

Sorry Linda, you really were a lifesaver during the busiest time and Ive edited the original post.

Double points from me too - going above and beyond when I commented that at a do that is promoting café equipment, you couldnt buy a biscuit to have with your coffee. Definitely double hero points for you, Linda. The bikkie was really nice, BTW!
