Tis the season...

Tis the season...
...to be overfed, over hydrated and joyous.

2011 has been an emotionally turbulent year. From the low point of the floods of QLD, NSW and VIC at the start of the year to the highlight when one of our Tanzanian FairCrack projects won a silver medal in the Golden Bean competition. We share those emotions together, as friends and family. Those lows and highs really hold a special place for me.

Of course, this year was full of great coffees too. We met lots of excited new CoffeeSnobs just starting their journey and the older, wiser CS’rs welcomed them with open arms, tips and tricks to improve their coffee and their coffee processes. Next year those same “new CoffeeSnobs” will be sharing their knowledge with the newbies that wander into our little corner of the Internet. It’s a great circle of knowledge, sharing and learning for all of us.

Yesterday I landed an excellent Aceh and a really nice Kenyan, these will appear in the mid-Jan Bean Bay green sale and those who a hopping from foot to foot waiting for the Behmor roasters can track the ship using this link:

Thanks to all the wonderful people in our community for another great year. I hope that the same spirit shines through in 2012 and beyond.
