Will be a while yet but you will get it in due time the medal and judges feedback. I believe we're in the same boat. A quick call to them revealed they're still sorting it all out.
Takes time and effort to follow through the event post mortems.
Really awesome to see CoffeeSnobs and CSers take out the awards, fantastic! I also left a congrats comment on the online article you linked earlier in the thread Andy but it didnt seem to show up?
Its given me inspiration to keep working and improving my roasts.
Got me all excited to ask for a xmas pressie (roaster) and start on those Beanbay beans.
I heard from Santa that a few people will have a Behmor under the tree this year, not sure if you were on his list yet so better be nice for the rest of the year.
Congrats Andy you make us proud to be a coffeesnobs members
Thanks Juanca, I'm very proud of the great community and the vibe of CoffeeSnobs. The buzz of this place feeds the desire to improve our coffee and processes every day as well as the joy we all get from helping someone else improve theirs. If we keep this up then one day it will be safe to have a coffee anywhere!
I will have to think about a subtle way to ensure my coffee guests know they are drinking coffee sourced from the Golden Bean winner.
Better still you can now gloat to your guests that you discovered CoffeeSnobs a long time before we won the Golden Bean. You are obviously a man of impeccable taste Rocky!
All the CS'rs support along the journey so far is what gives me the opportunity to play with some of the world’s most amazing coffees, I'm a lucky guy and I'm having a lot of fun doing something I love.
What a result!
So impressive, and a big thrill for Andy to have his youngster excel in the family business.
It's one thing to know you are doing a good job but another entirely to be recognised by peers as the best in the business.
Hearty congratulations.
I will have to think about a subtle way to ensure my coffee guests know they are drinking coffee sourced from the Golden Bean winner.
The hell with it, I will just tell them straight up how honoured they should be!
Congrats to all Coffeesnobs who entered and especially to Andy to become overall winner. Got me all excited to ask for a xmas pressie (roaster) and start on those Beanbay beans.
Thanks Mal!
I think Zed is already eyeing off my Golden Bean Trophy, he's a chance to snatch it next year if he can get an espresso working as well as his latte but his older sister certainly won't take that lying down (and maybe his younger sister will have a shot next year too).
As the only Freeman generation not to get a medal, Dad was disapointed he didnt have a go and I'm pretty sure he will be grabbing the Behmor in coming months for a "little play".
