Im really spewing that I didnt get to make it for the CS day out (and literally spewing I was) I fell very ill the night before and stuff that shouldnt be coming out was coming out at both ends. Im normally a sharing and caring person, but this time Im sure nobody would want me to share this with them.

I hope to catch up with the rest of the Perth CS at the beanbay pickup though. By the way, how did today go?

   Thanks for a lovely afternoon, Grant, great coffee, company and conversation... it was a pleasure to meet all these CSs!

Next time i will get someone to drive me, so i can help you evaluate the bottle of port!!

Hi:

Well the weather for the cafe day was perfect.

We had eight visitors

We started off with some of Lizs special blend done to perfection in a breadmaker!

Mike did a demo of the Presso which produced some pretty good coffee albeit with a little bit more elbow grease required than using the Bezzera.  Then again, how well would the 40P fit in your hand luggage?

I did a demo of a roast on the Hottop which performed well as always.  It is very easy to use and does everthing including cooling the beans to room temperature very effciently.

We had some lovely snacks brought along and I have just eaten the last of those ginger cookies(burp), thanks Mike!  

Lots of coffee got made and drunk and the day went really very well.

A great arvo Grant - thanks for the hospitality!

With everyone there obviously so passionate (and seasoned!) at home-roasting and Barist-ing (if thats a word?) it was an excellent opportunity for a Newbie like me to scamper a little further up the learning curve!

My pleasure I really enjoyed hosting it and will do it again soon!

When we get a sponsor then it might take place at a shop but there are some advantages too having at someones house.

It was a pretty convivial gathering and I think it is an event anyone can enjoy whatever their level of knowledge.

The port helps. Any port in a storm they say. Hell, port any time I say.

Thanks again for hosting the day - I had a great time catching up with snobs I knew and meeting those I didnt - I forgot to write down my details on the bit of paper so I might have to send you those in an email.

It was very interesting trying all the different blends - especially on that Bezzera of yours - what a machine!

Nice to have you along. It was a great day and every one who came added to the day in their own day.

The Presso went well too.

The Bezzera is a lovely machine. I am attached to it and it has been very easy to live with and it does great espresso for sure.
