Hope it's a great show!
Add MICE to your to-do list one year, it's a big show and plenty to see and do. Hopefully it won't clash with the F1 GP next year and accommodation will be cheaper for visitors.
4 x 3 day complimentary passes
If you can't attend other days maybe put it under a rock at the gate at let other CS'rs know where it is ;-)

I actually purchased tickets when they were released so if anyone wants tickets let me know and i can email them or i can plant these 3 day passes in the show grounds (probably in the stadium seats, ill post a pic if needed)
Its a great event i got up to 13 coffees last year!

Yep i seen it but didnt see one in action. It has this nice acrylic light bar at the back which lights up in white/blue. Looks like a nice sturdy machine. The pid looks good too. In the scheme of things i have to say Slayer took the spotlight in comparison.. Some of their machines are amazing!!

2 days gone, 1 day left... and I still have at least some voice left and my caffeine intake is about double normal.
It's been a busy couple of days, plenty of CoffeeSnobs have swung-by to say g'day and it's always excellent to see everyone buzzing with excitement.
Joseph Behm has been a great sport on the stand, we love to stir-up the yank and he takes it well. His product knowledge and equipment secrets that he shares are like little gems to those having a chat.
So last day on Saturday, swing by and say g'day, try the Panama Geisha in the two Brazen Brewers at 2 different temperatures then go and vote for it in the "Product Innovation Awards"
...simple as marking #5 on the voting card at the Sensory Lab Brew Bar... I'm sure CS'rs can make it number one!
:-)
(edit after the show)
Thanks to those that voted. The Brazen WON!

(he want's to call it 'Coaster Rica' for some strange reason!!) ;-D ;-D. We're very fortunate that he takes the time
and makes the $commitment to come and spend time with Andy and the CS community and talk himself
hoarse answering questions and being so entertaining as well.
Andy!! That Geisha was outstanding!! I forgot to ask if you roasted it in the Behmor??
MICE 2016 does not suck (as someone posted recently!!) it morphs and changes and reflects the local
industry and at $5,000.00++ for a 3m x 3m powered stand I don't know how we can expect a US style mega
show every year, given the (small) size of our specialty coffee market.
It was also a relief not to see the plethora of pod coffee that reared it's head there last year.
Glad it cooled down for you Andy........Thursday was a beast!

Hey guys. First cs post - thanks for all the help feeding my addiction over the years!
Is there somewhere on the net to see all the news from MICE? New products there, winners of the product innovation awards, barista champ, aeropress comp? Seems like a huge chunk of the internet that I can't see anywhere...

I'm a fan of the style, and build quality seemed excellent to me. Didn't pull a shot but did have a play with the lever and portafilter locking action etc. And of course the nice features like pid display automatically switching to a shot timer on extraction are a bit swish.
Also great to finally meet Andy!Last edited by Magic_Matt; 22 March 2016, 07:12 PM.

winners of the product innovation awards
That's an easy one...
Behmor Brazen Plus won the People's Choice award.
(very happy campers on the CoffeeSnobs stand, thanks to all the CS'rs that voted for it!)

MICE was great, I didn't get a good look around apart from the stands next to us (which is sadly pretty normal for a trade show), I did check-out the bullet Saturday morning before the show opened and it's coming along nicely but mostly I spent the 3 days talking too much and wondering if I just said "that" or maybe I just thought it or was it the person before that I said that to?
Public shows are a tough gig when you spend most of your days in monk-esk silence but it's always great to catch-up with everyone see their excitement at a room full of great toys.
