I've found settings in Ad blockers can cause a problem at times, causing pages to load incorrectly or in some instances fail to load at all, worth considering.

Yeah, I'm sure that 99.???% of people are fine as we have 1200 people on site at any given time and one a week (that we hear of) that can't.

It's awfully frustrating for those that could access it previously though.

The first time I heard about this the CS'r gave up because it worked okay on her phone. So it's good to get at least one fix in here, might have been the same issue on her PC.

    - I have Bitdefender Total Security installed

    - I clicked "Exceptions" and added the url https://coffeesnobs.com.au to the list of exceptions.
Now Beanbay page opens just fine in both Chrome and Firefox.

    Great troubleshooting!
I'm sure that will help someone else too.

I suspect that most "total security" packages could break the HTTPS (SSL) to see what traffic is being sent, by setting an exception it won't try a "look inside" the connection.

Hopefully we can build a list of fixes in this thread as they all seem similar but different.

    Thanks Andy for posting this.

    Other info:
    - I didn't have a VPN activated.
    - In Chrome, I have selected "Always allow https://coffeesnobs.com.au to set cookies" and clicked Done. However, the red cross mark still appears at the icon in the address bar.
    Thanks again.

This was a fix in Firefox for someone else.

    check your TLS level setting:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste TLS and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) If the security.tls.version.max preference is bolded and "user set" to some value other than 3, right-click it to restore the default value of 3

    CoffeeSnobs - BeanBay access problems?

I just received another report of people having problems with the secure connection to BeanBay.
The first report was a month ago and there have been another couple since. All of them were on Firefox and some were on Chrome too.

    ---- Latest one -----------

    • I have been able to access the site using Internet Explorer.
    • Is there a known issue with Chrome and Firefox?
    • I can send pics of the browser messages if you like.

In Chrome I get message that "This site can't be reached", "beanbay.coffeesnobs.com.au unexpectedly closed the connection." and "ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED". I have tried reloading a number of times. I have logged into Coffee Snobs.
In Firefox I get "Secure Connection Failed" and "The connection to beanbay.coffeesnobs.com.au was interrupted while the page was loading.".

    ----------------------------

Cookies, VPN and Antivirus/Internet Secutity packages have been the fixes but no real pattern.

The Internet is full of similar reports dating over 3-4 years and there isn't a clear single fix (that I can find)

Anyone here have the problem and fixed it?
Working...
