Thanks to Jason, a small group of Snobs enjoyed a very interesting and enjoyable session at Pioneer Roastery today. Jasons knowledge of coffee tasting is impressive and enlightening. The opportunity to  sample the characteristics of six different single origins and have them explained by Jason was terrific.

An explanation of how to create latte art saw some very interesting results. Lots of photos were taken and lots of coffee drunk.

Jason, a big thanks and I look forward to future gatherings on the coast.

Had a great day too. Agree it was very interesting and the opportunity to taste differnent types of SO and compare was awesome

Danielle and myself enjoyed meeting our fellow coffee snobs and getting to know them better. The tasting session was fun with some Brazil, Ugandan, Colombian and Ethiopian amongst them.

Only disappointment during the day was the turnout, alas though it allowed a more personal meet.

As a side note its surprising how many others out there now have gene cafes or at least a pop corn roaster hidden away, it seems home roasting is the new accepted norm and essential piece of kit like tampers.

Aarrgh, we had no computer for 2 weeks so I missed the final date posted & soddingwell could have made it, but logged on the evening of the coffee day....sob.
Hope there is another one soon. Ready to try some new grinds.
We do enjoy our longblacks at the maroochy airport pioneer (even if I have to bring my own cream) & were so looking forward to the roastery tasting day as have some strong likes/dislikes in the beans!

Sorry I didnt make it Jason over an hour away with a 4 week old baby it just didnt work out on the day which is a shame cause I wanted some more cups!!
