Well I hope to see some of you guys there tomorrow. If the family (ie the 8 week old and his mum) get a decent nights sleep, and the weather is as good as todays then the entire clan might make it. If not it will be me and maybe Trinity - she is really digging the whole latte art thing!!!

Apart from catching-up face to face with CSrs and sponsors (which is always the highlight for me) the gem of last years Aroma was the chilli chocolate beans for sure!

Most CSrs arrive all excited only to be disappointed with the coffee (not a great environment for anyone to exhibit their best brew) but the social aspect and the toys are always a highlight.

I really wanted to be at Aroma but the day job has got in the way and Ill be working on Sunday making it the first one I have missed for years.


Hope all the CoffeeSnobs meet-up with each other during the day, dont forget to say gday to all our site sponsors who are exhibiting and staffing stands....

Bombora, Cafetto, Coffee Parts, CosmoreX Coffee, Cuppacoffee, Diamond C Services, Di Bartoli Coffee Centre, Espresso Company Australia, Jetblack Espresso and Talk Coffee should all be at the rocks on the day.

...and please take lots of pictures for this thread so those of us that couldnt get there can see what we missed.

I know its always a lot of work to exhibit at these places, and its not cheap for the vendors too.

Ill prob be able to look at some Macap & Mazzer and other grinders if they are there :-)

I presume DiBartoli and others will be in the "Domestic Coffee Machine Expo" marked D on the map from the Rocks website. D is near the Oversea Passenger Terminal. I havent been to these before.

Correct, in fact it will be IN the Passenger Terminal. According to Renzo, he will be moving his entire shop there.

At some point in the Aroma day, therell be a little shoot out happening on the Di Bartoli stand. Itll be a little different to last years.

So far, Dan (Yeeza), Ben (benandfaith), Renzo and myself will be participating. Were still working out some of the finer details, but its looking like each shooter will take turns to be be given a 5 minute window, in which they produce an espresso and a piccolo and serve them to our judge.

Our little shoot-out will be judged by the lovely Hazel de los Reyes.

Not yet sure of the time, but if you are there on Sunday, you could just drop by and ask us
