Nice try, but alas not quite. While the gateway address shows on 2 blacklists in your post, it's not for spam and it's only because it is in a dynamic range of addresses which should only be a point against the address, not "mark everything as spam". Better network admins will use a collection of services to determine if mail is junk not just one free service from many years ago.
Something like Cisco's product is more holistic:
https://talosintelligence.com/reputa...=180.222.5.121
Shows no spam, reasonable mail volumes and rates as a Neutral as we have SPF and DMARC records to match the IP address.
'tis interesting that your gmail was junking them, I can send to my test gmail account and get them everytime (without whitelisting coffeesnobs).
I've just moved the smarthost from one ISP mail server to another authenticated server in their network, it might change something, or maybe it won't we'll see in a few days I guess.

Emails from Beanbay are going to my spam folder as well and I am using Google/Gmail.
It would appear that mail from Beanbay (and, I assume, the forum) originates from the IP address 180.222.5.121. This IP address is listed on some DNSBL (DNS Block List).
Go to https://www.dnsbl.info/ and enter 180.222.5.121 to check. I think the spam algorithms are consulting the DNSBL before rating the email from Coffee Snobs as spam.
Andy, you may have some work to do to get yourself off the DNSBL's or ask your ISP for a new IP address.

"You should have a "whitelist" option somewhere in their web interface to allow email from coffeesnobs.com.au"
My thoughts as well, I'm looking, they seem to have hidden it pretty well.😏

I really like fixes that I don't have to fix!
Spam filters are a necessary pain, worse when the end user doesn't get a digest of what the ISP stuffed into a folder somewhere without telling them.
Bigpuddle and hotmail are the worst two offenders but outlook is catching up.
You should have a "whitelist" option somewhere in their web interface to allow email from coffeesnobs.com.au

Thanks 338, jogged the memory, went into Bigpond Webmail and found over 20 advice emails from CS sitting in the junk mail folder.Originally posted by 338 View PostYelta weren't you with Bigpond who had a server block on CS? Maybe that again. If you have a non Bigpond email maybe try changing to that for a day?
Have made some changes to settings and moved the messages from the junk folder to the in box, all have now shown up in my in box.
Thanks to all who have replied.🙂

I'm not subscribed to threads so can't advise about receiving notifications. I do receive a notification if I get a mention in a thread I've posted in. Have you tried unchecking and the selecting the subscribe button again?

I can't help you out mate as I just don't use the facility, other than notifications for PMs, BeanBay, Admin etc which all work Ok for me...

Morning all.
As of a Sun 12/07/2020 4:39 AM (the last post advice I received) I am no longer receiving email notification of replies to subscribed threads.
My junk mail folder is empty and Coffeesnobs has not been added to the blocked senders list.
User settings/notifications seems to have the correct boxes checked, any thoughts?🙂

This weekend saw some email shuffles to reduce the insane volume of spam we get.
It appears that we might have had a day of email not leave the web site from 13th June 7pm till 14the June 7pm so if you sent a quote request or contact us and didn't get a reply please try again. We weren't ignoring you, just never received it!
Same would be true for thread subscriptions and PM notifications
...just all falling into a black bucket somewhere never to be seen.
BeanBay was still sending invoices and messages, 'twas just the forum that was having grief.
Everything tests okay now though.

I don't agree it has anything to do with safety/privacy but it could be annoying.
Not something I've ever needed (as I can delete user accounts)
You can turn-off "Enable Private Messaging" in Profile/user setting/Account but that means on one can message.
According to the developer re this version of the forum software:
"It was a logistical and performance nightmare that prevented tracking down permission problems. Due to this the feature was removed."
Please use the "contact us" below to report someone who is doing something wrong!
