  • Australia Post - March 2021

Believe it or not in the same week that Australia Post announce their half year figures of $4,300,000,000 (which is up 15.5%), a 6 month profit of $166,600,000 and parcel revenue near 30% higher they give you a price increase to ensure their numbers are better next time and they can buy better Cartier watches.

eParcel prices have risen to all Australian destinations, roughly $1 extra for the first parcel, $0.50 more for each additional parcels to the same address and about 10% more per kilo.

Their pricing is stupidly complex but luckily BeanBay does the math for your order and location and will show the new price in the checkout.

From next week Express Post will also increase, I've heard rumour of 5% but haven't seen actual pricing yet. We still have some satchels on hand but expect them to rise soon. Express Post got slower during the pandemic, doesn't have guarantee of next day delivery and now they will charge more for it. Sigh.

As always, we charge you actual freight cost in BeanBay, in fact it's under our actual cost as Site Sponsor payments subsidise it a little.

...but now you know we're not the one being greedy!
