Yeah Im heading-up, Port Macquarie is a very nice spot and the CafeBiz crew really bend over backwards to make sure its a great event.
Its a new venue this year too, I walked past it last year so I know where it is but not whats inside. Its close to the centre of town and walking distance from most accomodation.
If you roll-in on Saturday morning you are likely to be the only one without blood-shot eyes from the Thursday night social. Didnt you want to get messy with the rest of us?
Entries to the competition are closed but you can still register for the Workshops and social events on the website:

Specialty coffee rules the morning hours, but there’s something that’s driving customers to coffee houses in those lonely afternoons… the frappé-based blended drink. It’s an exploding category that’s hit a sweet spot with consumers, and even with some of the most skeptical retailers who are striving to seek that fine balance between a flexible menu and a profitable one.

I also just heard via a local CSr that the local rag (Focus) in Port Macquarie said:
"So for all you coffee enthusiasts that would like to learn a little bit more about your daily hit, or maybe try something different, the event is open to the public to view the judging process in the upstairs function rooms at The Westport Club on Saturday, 15th of November from 9am"
