  • Cheaper alternative for Latte art practice!!

So heres the deal...I was just steaming some milk for some practice...Then this pitcher turned out pretty well. Decent latte art texture...but my machines all cleaned up for the day so I didnt want to pull another shot. Then it hit me. Soy sauce has the same consistency as an espresso shot. poured some into my mug and came up with this......Its only 2-3 dollars for a whole litre of soy sauce!

Greate lateral thinking, i would never have thought of that one.
Certainly not one you want to drink though.

Me thinks if i try this at home i will get more than one odd look

I get my practice on hot chocolate. Surely that has to be the first thing you think of. Right?

Hy an awsome idea!! and you get the colour of a coffee shot too. mind you I tend to take at least one mouthful out of my practice coffees, so yeah i dont think i will try it as of yet.

Awesome idea and it works --- but I still get into trouble for using all the milk. I think I am keeping dairy farmers going. Im sure you are helping out too. But what about coming up with a cheep substitute for milk as well. :
