Had a go; think things are on the improve but the milk was too thick so it kinda globbed out. But the stem didnt seem as destructive, so now Im off to Adelaide for a week and away from my machine itll be a great time to practice...

when that happens you can thin it out by separating the milk in to two jugs....if youre pouring more than 1 drink.

youtube has some great vids of this subject, most of you probably already know...
im trying to learn this art too,
my first attempt was abysmal, foam not micro enough maybe, didnt get any kind of picture at all.

is it best to use skim milk or full cream??

              definitely easier with full cream.

I have struggled for over 18 months to get this stuff right, and finally after switching back to full cream, its starting to fall into place.

My leaves are a bit wobbly, and it doesnt always quite work out....but the odd one looks awesome, and the majority do vaguely resemble a rosetta. I can switch back to lite milk now, but its noticeably harder to get right. So im sticking with full cream until my pouring is more perfected.
