Re: Roasted Coffee Beans
agresti,
First of all welcome to Coffee Snobs.
Secondly, this is a very old thread.
A quick Google search gives me these two possibilities.

If you are looking for an artisan roaster in Sydney to buy beans, where are you located?

Re: Roasted Coffee Beans
Oh, and my personal suggestion: go buy a heatgun, and Ill give you some of my (overly large, always growing) stash of beans and you can roast your own, and youll never look back !

Re: Roasted Coffee Beans
In Sydney, try to visit Belcaffe, it is an artisan roaster. Robert is the owner, very friendly and informative. He said he worked in Italy for coffee companies and thus focuses only on Italian blends.

Id add, to Lucas list, Withams in Sydney - always fresh. The Guatemalan and Costa Rican are particularly good.

Re: Roasted Coffee Beans
Hi Joe,
Do try a freshly roasted bean. Let your palate decide what you like after that experience. The opinion around here (including mine) is that fresh is best.
Like Luca said, once you taste fresh...

Re: Roasted Coffee Beans
Hi Joe,
I had to laugh at the title of your post - I think that every single thing on this webpage could be described by that title!
I would only ever recommend using freshly roasted coffee beans, ground before using them, which will have a very different flavour from Illy and LaVazza. If you could supply us with a location, we could recommend local roasters.
Some of my favourites are:
Sydney:
Coffee Alchemy
Coffee Masters
Di Lorenzo
Melbourne:
Atomica
Supreme
St Ali
Perth:
Five Senses
Adelaide:
Rio
QLD:
Havent been there, but have heard good things about Pioneer and Di Bella
Cheers,
Luca

Hi Peoples
I wanted to know where you can find quality roasted coffee beans?
I love Lavazza and Illy, but Im sure there are others out there that are on par...I just love the traditional Italian style!
Would lvoe your recommendations of beans and websites etc!
